I'm not saying it's right, but a lot of women take it as their right that doors will be held open for them, and therefore they don't need to thank someone for doing what is expected of them.

I understand your thought....but my point is that when someone does something kind...even if expected, thanks should be offered. I know you're not defending them...

i suppose I'll just keep opening doors no matter the response
