Eddy Curry is pretty front and center in the huddle for being a DNP... I wonder if Steph was even paying attention to the game.

They showed Steph on the bench and he was visibly upset. He was bitching and moaning to the player sitting beside him. The announcers kept saying, "We'll be hearing about this in the paper tomorrow"

Fair enough. Perhaps I came on a bit strong. Contrary to the impression I may have given before, I don't sit and watch games and actively hope for the other teams' players to get injured. Allow me to recant: I don't feel the least bit bad for a pro athlete who gets injured, unless that person is on one of my teams. I don't root for it, but, if it does happen (and if it's not a injury that will threaten the person's overall health), I don't care. And if it's someone my team is up against, I'll be quite content with it.
I feel bad for orphaned children, cancer victims, starving families, people with AIDS, and homeless hurricane-struck people. I don't feel bad for overpaid athletes on opposing teams. Torn ACL? Career over? Boo hoo. Hope you got that college degree when you had the chance.

its not about feeling bad, if you recall u said that U wish injury upon all non-mav W.C. players. To me I feel the opposite, I would hate for Garnett to miss the finals and hypothetically the Rox make the finals--I can just see the asterisk on that one given a rox victory. Not me, I want healthy rox vs healthy anybody---then there is no excuses. I'm just surprised by your comments, but that's your right--so no big deal.
**edit, I just saw your latest comments, but torn ACL--eww I would feel bad no matter which player or amount of income. That hurts just reading that. **not saying you're wishing a torn ACL, but it's at least worth a holy shiit, too bad for him type of thing. ok moving on.

That's right, because the Rockets' two titles are totally pure because they came when NO PLAYER OF CONSEQUENCE was out of league...

Thank God for Hakeem the dream. We passed on Jordan for Hakeem in 1984, so for the 2 to be linked like that, well it does not bother me. Just wish we could have faced off in the finals to end all doubt. Not the rox fault he had to play baseball--2nd title run, jordan was back, but he was out of rhythm blah, blah, excuses. No way jordan would have won 8 str8 rings.

I really hope we can take care of the Spurs on Wednesday. In their CURRENT state, they're not even a playoff team. Of course when Manu/Oberto come back that'll change, but that won't be this week. Roger Mason seems to be a nice find for them though.

Spurs are short in the front court. Duncan is getting no help. Kurt Thomas looks out of shape and Bonner just doesn't have a clue. Oberto will help some but the Spurs are in trouble this year when it comes to the front court.
Of course they miss Ginobli and all the things he brings but Mason looks like a real nice find. Especially once he settles into the system.

Caught the last minute of the Spurs game on a TV at the bar where I was for a Halloween party. Great finish. A bunch of antsy-looking Spurs fans looked like they were about to cry when Finley's shot rimmed out.

I didn't get why Mason passed it to Finley, can he not finish we a left hand lay up? That's all he would've needed to do and the game was over.

A lot of discussion about that over on spurstalk. While many would live with a 7 footer from Finley in that situation Mason had the layup. You have some who say Finley choked while others are bagging on Mason because he did the same thing (he passed to either Duncan or Parker) in the final minute against the Suns.
Finley hits the shot he's a hero and Mason for setting him. Mason takes the layup and misses he's bagged on for not passing to a wide open Finley.

From a Nets site after tonights game. It will be interesting to see how devin does running his own team. It may take him most of the year to slow it down.

Devin looked like crap.
Straight up.
He needs to rally get his stuff together, become more focused, become more agressive yet pick his spots better and overall he has to, has to, make better decisions.

He missed a shot. It's not choking. Good shooters miss shots ..even when they're open.

It's going to take time for the team the Nets have, but last night was just the second game and they all will learn from there mistakes. It wasn't the best game they had, but I saw some really great things also, I can really see them winning a few games people say they can't win. Like if the Lakers, Suns, Spurs, or Mavericks play them expecting to win I think they might get a wake up call
