Fantasy Dealing Pt. II
Well, part one is obvious ...
(1) Josh Howard to the Clips for Chris Kaman ...
part two is if the other team is ready to call it a season already and go to rebuild mode ... (honestly, they´ve been playing without Agent 0 for all of the season anyways, so they´d receive a net-gain overall)
(2) Erick Dampier, Jerry Stackhouse and Brandon Bass to Washington for Gilbert Arenas and Darius Songaila on December 15th.
Our lineup afterwards (when Arenas comes to play somewhere in January / February).
Kaman, Diop
Dirk, Songaila, Singleton
Greene, George, Williams
Arenas, Terry, Wright
Kidd, JJB
I´d go to war with that bunch.

Because of Health, Quality or Lockerroom issues?

God, I'm 100% all over both of those deals because they're friggin' impossible (especially the second one!)
Dirk/Arenas/Kaman/Kidd = rings

Just say "no" to Arenas... he's a chucker whose ego will spiral out of control, especially coming here to play second banana to Dirk.

Just imagine the series ...
Kaman / Dirk / Greene / Arenas / Kidd vs. Bynum / Gasol / Odom / Kobe Fisher
winner to play Perkins / Garnett / Pierce / Allen / Rondo after whey defeated either the Cavs or Detroit.
That would be playoffs for the ages.

That second trade would never happen. How as the Washington management could you possibly justify trading Agent Zero and getting Brandon Bass while being saddled with Damp's contract?

deal 1 sucks. Why does everyone hate J-ho just cause he smokes pot? as long as his game is on during a game then im fine with it. and that's exactly what hes doing so far this year.

I dunno, the only thing is, if we do get Arenas, his contract will make it hard for us to do anything once Kidd is done and Dirk considers retirement.

Peeps, wake up
(1) Damps contract is FAR from bad by now, it´s actually on the brink of becoming a commodity
(2) Josh Howard is a good player playing a position most teams have "good players at", while Chris Kaman is a good player at a posiition most teams have a gaping hole. As someone else put it - Josh Howards come a dime a dozen. Kamans is probably top 5 at his position / Role in the NBA. It´s not about hating Josh Howard, it´s about for once having a Center with a two-way game (and an inside one) next to Dirk. That´s why only the Clippers (and probably Memphis) would really do a deal like that. And that´s a reason to dream on.

Arenas!? That's not an answer to the two-guard problem.

Trading for Kaman gives the Mavs no flexibility in 2010...

What about Nenad Krstic? 7-0 center offensively skilled in the paint. Currently on a 1 year plus 1 year option contract with a team in Russia. He fills a need. Don't know if the Nets maintain his rights. I think he'd be unrestricted if he returns. I think he'd comeback to the NBA given a 3 year MLE contract.

I haven't looked at the contracts or anything...but if you're going to try to trade with Washington, why wouldn't we go after Caron Butler?? He would be a MUCH better fit than Arenas.

Based on contracts, I'm fairly certain the Wiz would be willing to move Arenas, Butler, and Jamison but they'd probably be more interested in Stack than Damp...

Not sure where you're getting your information, but I'd trade Stack over Damp in a heartbeat for any one of those guys (too bad Washington wouldn't feel the same way...)

There's no way the Wizards do that, they could do SO much better.

How about ...
(1) as above
(2) Stack, Damp and Bass for Marion?
Kaman, Diop
Nowitzki, Singleton
Marion, George, Williams
Wright, Terry, Greene
Kidd, JJB
Another unstoppable unit...

Arenas shoots the same percentage as Jerry Stackhouse, so we'd basically be giving those other guys away for free.
