What am I listening to right now? I am dreaming of rain and the history of the gun by listening to Sisters of Mercy: Floodland...

yep, awesome. i'd probably rank it their 3rd best of the 4, but it's not very far behind their first 2. Their 3rd is my least favorite, although I still really like it.

I'm into all sorts of tunes, grew up on some 70's & 80's Metal, but have adapted to Country tunes as well as some select Christian music...such as:
Lacrae
This guy reminds me of the early days of Whoudini and Run-DMC, great Rap and Great Message!!!

I usually listen to my Zune... but if I'm in my car and not on the Ticket (ie - the Hardline is on) then I still listen to this CD.
I daresay it is one of my favorites of all time.

Paraphrasing...
Morgan: Yeah, I think I have it on my Zune. Hold on a sec.
Chuck: Wait a second, you have a ZUNE?!
Morgan: Ha ha, of course not. I'll go get my iPod.

If you're a guitar player (a real guitar player, not someone with an Ibanez) you have to check this instrumental album out.
I know it's been out for a while, but I'm slow. It's great stuff.

I LOVE that album (but I also love the musicians who inspired them to make that album - you'd probably hate MY music!)
EDIT: BTW - never commented on your music, but I loved it, despite not really being a bluegrass fan...

No, thank YOU for making enjoyable music!
I love Molly's voice, but she definitely sounds her age - I'm interested to hear what her voice sounds like when it finally "breaks" - she obviously has a lot of training in addition to her natural talent, so I have a feeling she'll sound wonderful into her adult years (did she sing in church growing up? She has a soulful quality to her voice...)
And I love how you rip it up on your respective strings - you have the "cerebral talent" in addition to the "heart" (what can I say - I'm a jazz-head when it comes to technicality and you didn't fail to impress!)

yeah, she already sounds different (better) than she did a year ago when I first heard her.
www.myspace.com/mollyadkinsmartinstevens - for anyone who is wondering wtf we're talking about
here's another guy whose CD I just recorded (only fiddle) on. only track I'm on on the myspace is the first one I believe, "Head's Up" http://www.myspace.com/jakedewhirst -- bluegrass fiddle, which is what I mostly did till I met molly.

Nice little solo there - would've been nice to hear more!
I think you've inspired to post some of my music for D-M, but that might just be the alcohol and rage about the Mavs losing to the Lakers talkin'....

I'm listening to Alastair McDonald - "Songs of Scotland," just a collection of Scottish folk tunes. I don't think I've heard a word of what he's sang... I'm just listening to the melodies, and they're all incredible.

Kanye was the last mainstream "real" rapper. now he's just like every other lame hiphop artist. I hate Lil' Wayne, T Pain and whatever Kanye has become.

I guess I can see not liking it (it had to grow on me a bit) but I don't see the connection to lil Wayne and T-Pain outside of his use of the auto tuner. I'd say the sound and subject matter are unique and there's not a trace of bravado on the album.
I also tend to think that this is a diversion cause by events in his life. I don't think this is his new bit (at least I hope now).

Yea I went through a Roots phase myself a couple of weeks ago. Burnt all my Roots CD's to the iphone. As far as Tipping Point "Star/Pointro may be my favorite Roots track of all time. If not it's in the top five.
edit: think i'll listen to it now...

yeah, I heard he's not considering it one of his "albums". He's doing it because his girlfriend/wife of forever left him, right?
I just noticed him going in a new direction even with Graduation, and now this. And the auto tuner is through the entire album and I can't handle it.

Probably better than hearing him sing the whole album.
