Keep your cool, Dirk. You can't barrel in and expect the foul.
Just stay close.

Yes, that's right. But I can understand Carlisle as well. Dirk get hacked every night like no other player in the league and the refs don't call anything

Dirk has got to shoot the ball though. No excuse for having only 4 shots in nearly two quarters.
Defensively, they need to pressure better but Minny is on fire. My goodness.

Anything that can go wrong offensively is going wrong. Jet and Kidd have had some wide open shots and they missed them...even on second chance opportunities. Dirk has been getting doubled aggressively in the 2nd and he's passing it to the open man, shots just need to go down. That doesn't fix the defense, but you still gotta take advantage, try to get some momentum going.

Their defense is bad tonight but their offense is the problem right now.

There were some really bad gimmes like I mentioned earlier. There has to be at least 12-15 points left out on the court between Jet and Kidd, they had some wide open/uncontested jumpers that just didn't go down. Couple that with a few traditional Josh jumpers and an off-night from Dirk...and that's some trouble.

Got to be able to score. No excuse to have only 40 points through 2 quarters against them.

And if the Mavs lose this game... that would be such a waste of a good opportunity to move up in the standings.

Those points I mentioned would help on the defensive end somewhat. Minnesota would start to feel pressure and the buckets would stop raining down. They don't feel any kind of anxiety right now and they can play loose and free and it shows.

This can't be happening....How come Utah couldn't have this rough of a home game after Dallas' back to back last week?
If Dallas can't get back to within 10-12 pts going into the 4th, this will be one of those head scratchers....

Well I'm rooting for Memphis, Milwaukee, Orlando and Boston. If they all win then at least we won't move DOWN in the standings.

A flawless 5-7 minute run can really make this a "moment of truth" for Minnesota. If Dallas can actually show up for that kind of stretch and take the margin down to 10 or so, then that's where the pressure and negativity comes in for Minnesota. They'll start to wonder if they can hold on, then random thoughts of fatigue (playing in OT last night) will come in and they would be ripe for the taking.
Dallas just needs to show up and lay the hammer down.

Well, the Mavs are not rebounding their missed shots. They have been burned at least 3 times by offensive rebounds.

Another concern is the absence of Carlisle. He usually juggles and finds the right combination of players for a comeback. Oh why does he let himself be tossed?
