Disappointing loss. Especially with Durant and Green out.
We'll turn around and take it out on the Spurs on Wednesday.
It's damn good to have Terry back. What's Howard's status for Wednesday?

It is extremely frustrating watching the Mavs just give games away. The Suns beat the Lakers without Nash and Amre and the Mavs can't beat the Thunder without Durant and Green?
And I find it hilarious that Mav fanss are so naive as to think they will blow anyone out on the road.

6-23 on three pointers doesn't help either.

We should have lineups like Terry, Kidd, Singleton, Eric and Dirk,
Just let Dirk and Terry taking the shot, and Singleton and Eric focus on rebounding

Just another reason why this team can't be taken seriously. They come off a good win, to lose to a horrible team.
They're a bad road team, they always play down to their competition, sometimes they're into the game, sometimes they're not.
There's nothing that this team has done all year that proves that they're anything more than a fringe playoff team. And that's being nice.
Hopefully we show up against the Spurs. Because we're definitely not beating the Hornets on the second night of the back to back. But we already saw what a Manu and Duncan-less Spurs team can do to this Mavs squad.. so.

And Cuban is too blind to see that this team needs talent. They need talent badly.
And Mav fans are too blind to see that the Mavs won't fix anything in the offseason. Another summer will be wasted.
Another year of Dirk wasted.
It's a shame.

I don't buy what you're selling. But hey, if you truly see that he's dumb when he has the ball...... so be it. He came in and gave this team a true spark. Hit a big 3, a huge putback dunk, and missed a floater driving to the basket (we always complain about players not driving to the hoop) and a pressure 3 pointer that we absolutely needed to get off in a hurry. He didn't commit the foul (didn't touch the shooter), has a +/- of +8.
From the little you've seen him play, you've seen him make that many mental mistakes that he doesn't deserve playtime over Wright? Let me correct that, *any* playtime at all?
Off the top of your head, can you point out a clear mental mistake he made? I can't.

At least Green played with some life when he had a chance. The rest of the team, short of a few plays brought nothing.

That's par the course. This has been a below average-to-terrible 3-pt shooting team since the 2006 Finals.

Well, the Mavs had them in the penalty from the 8 minute mark on... and proceeded to get to the line a total of 0 times afterward.
One it got down to 11, the Mavs had to punish them by taking it to the hoop. They didn't. Dirk hit some shots but he was just as guilty as the others.

It's not all that "hilarious" at all. Within the past 5 weeks, the Mavs have played 8 road games. In 3 of those, they blew out their opponent (DET, MIA, ORL).
I don't think the Mavs are a particularly good team (duh), but it's certainly not much of a stretch to predict ex ante a blowout road victory over a bottom-feeder.

They did not blow out Orlando. That game was a hard fought victory in which the Mavs had to work to win. It took Dirk hitting ssome really tough shots in the 4th for them to pull it out.
Detroit is just as bad of shape as Dallas with intensity issues. And the Iverson trade has really screwed them up. Hell, they've lost like 4-5 in a row before they beat Boston yesterday. And that game wasn't on the back end of a back to back.

If you're arguing that Detroit is somehow in worse shape than OKC without Durant and Green, then you're just being nonsensical. If they blew out Detroit, who is a better team than OKC, there's no reason to say that it's "hilarious" to predict that they'd blow out OKC. You may have disagreed with that assessment, but it's certainly not hilarious.
As for Orlando, that was a blowout. Orlando made it seem closer than it was at the end by repeatedly running at the hoop and getting bailed out with lame calls. The Mavs were up 15-17 in the 4th quarter. That's a road blowout, as far as I'm concerned.
Now, if you're exclusively talking about people who predict 30+ point victories, I probably agree with you, simply because the Mavs never win by that much. But for me, 15+ is a blowout.

You are arguing just to argue. The Mavs did not blow them out. The final score was not an indication of the game. If Dirk had to play most of the 4th, and hit difficult shots for them to win, the game was in jeopardy and hence, not a blow out.

The Mavs have intensity issues. They perceive Detroit to be better so they play harder. They perceive Oklahoma to be inferior so they go through the motions.
It really is as simple as that. And it isn't that Detroit is in worse shape. It is that the Mavs don't crush inferior opponents on the road. Most Mav fans know that. Yet they still predict huge victories. To me that is hilarious. And if you don't find it funny, then that's fine. Like I said earlier, you are just arguing to just argue
That is why the Mavs needed a trade. They have talent issues. And they aren't good enough to sleepwalk through games, even though they do repeatedly.

Our record will be too good for the lottery. We'll probably have an late middle to late 1st round pick.

Ouch....double ouch...
Yea dirk was very guilty of throwing up bad shots (and shots that seemed rushed) during that rally.. Letting them get their feet back under them when the mavs came down and settled.

This may be a stupid question but does anybody on here know where you can see all of the post game interviews for the games?

I hope this game doesn't come back and bite us in the @$$ like when the Cowboys lost to the Rams...

We should have lost the other night against them in Dallas. This just evens it out.

WTF...I was kidding. I didn't think the Mavs would screw the pooch on this game...but dang that was ugly!!!
Every organization goes through a period of growth...then they hit a plateau and then they either go back down or they re-cycle and break through a ceiling to reach a new plateau...
This Mavs team/organization appears to be on a steady decline with a destination of loserville.
This is sad to watch, yet as a fan, we stick through it...waiting for the next cycle to the top...I wonder, who's playing Jr. High basketball today that will be the player the Mavs acquire to bring them up in 2016 and beyond?
