That was one tough loss. We need to get over it fast though. We still have a heck of a tough stretch to come.

I think Adams and Uehara have caught Derek Holland syndrome. One night they have dominating stuff and hurl 1-2-3 innings. The next night they are giving up the game winning runs. Watch Uehara strike out the side in his next appearance.

Hirohito has been hit hard the last two times he pitched. He was lucky in la that the line shots were hit straight at outfielders.

he's been hit hard almost every outing. I usually count on him to strike out 2 and give up 1 HR. seems like that is his pattern.

Nappy with the 3 run shot. A little love to Cruz for making Bedard really work the ab before.

Huge win tonight! Great game CJ - but damn, that strike zone was H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E.

Yeah, Feliz, on the 5 pitch walk to Gonzalez, hit the black in three pitches. The 2nd walk was even more ridiculous.

I don't think we could have caught the Red Sox at a better time. We will miss Lester in this series. Lackey pitches tomorrow and will get murdered. Then Andrew Miller is taking Wakefield's start in the finale. Probably a smart move because Wakefield would have been sent into retirement by the Rangers.

It also helped that we pretty much faced the Boston B lineup tonight. It's great not having to face Youkibitch.

Some old saying regarding the counting of fowl before said fowl delivers itself from an oval-shaped enclosure comes to mind right now for some reason.

Was it about a week ago we were three outs from going up by 8?

Sigh...

Man - 1 Trumbo swing has truly changed this entire season. LA wins the game we really had to have. We likely won't win tomorrow as Weaver typically finds a way to beat us and, well, Colby's last start didn't go so well. If that happens we have a 1 game lead, a beaten Ranger team with poor confidence, and a very, very confident Angels team. Oh yeah, and we close with a series against this same club. In their stadium.

Ugh.............

No doubt in my mind that Colby Lewis needs to be skipped a start. I don't care who they start in his place. Bring someone up from AAA. Start a bullpen guy to get through a few innings and then play merry-go-round with relievers. His next start would be against the Red Sox in Fenway. He is killing this team right now and has got to figure something out in the last month. And it could start with getting a few days extra rest.

I definitely did not see that win coming. GREAT job boys! A much needed day to rest too after 17 straight games.

Feldman is starting tomorrow in place of Harrison. Exactly what I think needs to be done with Colby. And it looks like Wash has the idea to do the same with everyone except CJ. Plans are to have CJ pitch every 5th day, not every 5th game.

Josh Hamilton just hit what might have been the longest home run I have seen to the upper deck at our ballpark ever. Holy shit.

When Feldman can keep his fastball down, he's very difficult to hit against. Last year was a lost season perhaps somewhat strongly due to injuries. Let's hope he can ratchet it up a notch down the stretch similarly to how he did tonight.

Absolutely agree... What was it? 1 fly ball out? 11 ground ball outs? He is a perfect combination with the double play grace of Ian and Elvis - he simply must have the ball moving down instead of leaving everything up like last year.

I sure hope he can turn it around, even if all he ever becomes is a 6th starter. Injuries happen and you need a guy that can step up and fill someone's shoes.

If he ends up forcing his arm into the rotation next year by outperforming Colby or Harrison, so be it. Of course you all know my stance here - hopefully CJ stays and Feliz is the one knocking on the door.

Man, his off speed pitches have improved dramatically and his fastball speed is back up touching 97-100 regularly. Thank you Bengie Molina!

Feldman had the movement on his breaking balls working great last night. Definitely got more out of him in a spot start than I think anyone expected. And that includes Ron Wash, even if he won't admit it. I thought even 5 innings would be generous, and even then with a few runs allowed. But to get 6 shutout innings was awesome. And then the rest of the bullpen each came in and did their jobs. Feliz had to make it a little interesting though.

Mariners score two runs in the 8th to rally for a 2-1 win! Felix Hernandez gets the complete game.

If you told me at the beginning of these two series that we would have gained ground with LA going against Seattle and us going against TB I would have doubted that. Nice to see.

Now, stop leaving pitches right in the middle of the plate for Adrian and lets stun this Boston team the way we did when the season began.

Leonys Martin gets a single in his major league debut.

This might have been the most impressive start of Holland's career. Even more impressive than any of his complete game shutouts this season.

Rangers taking consecutive series from the Angels, Rays, and Sox. Good times.

Rangers go to Fenway for 3 and Angels stay at home vs the shitty Twins for 3...and the division lead stays the same. Win for us.

Now if Feldman can even come close to having a repeat of his last start, then that's all I can ask for. Now he just needs to do one of these spot starts for Colby, because he is killing us.

I was in Boston this weekend to visit some friends, and of course we pick Saturday's game to go to.

By the way, those paragon-of-virtue Fenway fans? That place was dead for most of the day, and they did the effin' wave.

David Murphy is becoming Mr. September again. He did it last season when Hamilton was out and he's doing it again with Nellie Out. That dude just gets hit after hit and RBI after RBI.

CJ had a great game. Now let's go Mariners.

I'm loving the A's this season. Oakland is 5-11 vs the Rangers and now 9-5 vs the Angels after beating them tonight. That's 5 games separation in the standings right there between TEX and LAA due to the A's. And with the Rangers now leading by 3 games over the Angels...that's a pretty big deal.
