So i twisted my ankle playing basketball last night (true). I thought that I would wake up this morning and have it be sore as hell. truth be told I can't tell if it's sore because the only feeling i have in my body is my LOST BONER. It's like in those military movies where they break your finger to take your mind off of your gunshot wound...

The promos Tirico was doing during the Celtics game this weekend said that someone would die.

I have to say...I am more than just a little confused now.

I love the developments that are new, but I find myself questioning how and why were got here.

The island...err...Christian...whatever, told Locke that "I told YOU" to move the island. So, Ben wasn't supposed to do it at all? OR, meaning that when he told Locke to move the island, to save it, he meant doing it now, this particular time?

Because essentially Locke did have to turn the wheel to save the island, just like he found out in "Cabin Fever"...it's just a little later than he thought, right?

What happens on the island now that the wheel has been turned again? Have they stopped moving through time? I can't wait to see. We don't especially know when they are right now.

I have to watch this one again..I am so mad about the Stars game I can't see straight. Hopefully someone else can offer up some better opinions and theories.

Thinking back on all the stuff that's happened on this show over the previous seasons, I find myself wondering how in the hell they are ever going to wrap it all up and explain everything. I'm very interested to see how they do it.

Good episode tonight, I thought. Much stronger than last weeks.

Only about 25 episodes left to tie everything together. Do you guys think the writers already have everything somewhat written out?

No idea, but there is certainly a LOT of stuff to be tied up, and 25 episodes isn't that much time. I mean, they will obviously handle the new storylines that have popped up (time travel, getting everyone back to the island, etc.), but there are still at least 50 unanswered questions from earlier seasons. Some of them are relatively minor matters, but I hope the writers don't think that people are just going to forget all those questions raised earlier.

I highly doubt every single question that has come up throughout the series will be answered. I am quite certain we will all be forever lost in one form or another. =P

I don't think Locke turned the wheel again, I think he repaired. He put it back on its axis, as Christian said.

So they should stop jumping through time now.

However, they can't be done going through time if Faraday has to tell young Charlotte not to come to the island....right?

I enjoyed the confirmation that Danielle's crew didn't get "sick" per se, they were turned into Others.

I am not reading any of this. Just wanted to post and say i have had a LOST BONER for over 24 hours because I did not have a chance to watch last night. It is very difficult for me to even type this message, as my brain has been deprived of blood and oxygen for so long...

Maybe they've stopped in the 1970's, in DHARMA's hey day. Or maybe not at all.

Turned into Others?

I just thought they were being controlled by the smoke monster, or it turned them against her or something...what made you use the word "Others"?

And yes, I very much enjoyed the putting to rest of all the speculation about "the sickness"

I thought that was a quality episode of epic proportions. We finally get to see what in the world the temple is (although we haven't seen inside it).

We get to see the "sickness" that Rousseaus team had. Why in the world was he going to shoot her? Because she was killing them? So it was Jin who kept her from getting "sick". And it's entering the temple that causes it.

Obviously Sun is going to join the Ben team to get everyone assembled to return to the Island.

Is Christian Jacob then? Didn't he say in the cabin last year that he wasn't Jacob? Will we ever see Jacob?

Why did Ben look disturbed when Desmond mentioned about coming to see Farradays mother? Does Ben not know that?

So presumably that's where the monster comes from, right? That's where it lives, that's what it guards? Straight from the mouth of someone who was under it's influence and had been down there?

That might be the most we're going to ever find out about that thing right there.

Screencap from promo for next week....

I am very interested in this.

Also...so Ben is just giving up on Kate and Sayid? That makes no sense, and can't be true. Something is going to happen in a big hurry to make them change their minds, right?

"Controlled by the smoke monster"....the smoke monster is some sort of controllable device, not an entity. So not sure how it could be controlling anyone.

Perhaps Others is not the correct term. There's no telling how many actual factions are on the island at that time.

We have no idea how long they were down there, or what else happened between. The arm on the ground looked to have been rotting for, what? Weeks maybe? (I don't know)

We've never seen any evidence that The Others live in the temple. Maybe they used to?

In 1988, DHARMA was still operating. "The Purge" happened in the very early 90's.

Also...given that we know Daniel will visit Charlotte, and visit the Orchid while already having been under construction for a while, and given what we saw after the well disappeared (we didn't see any construction), it would seem they're in fact not done time traveling, right?

(Unless they're stuck some time and are going to be living there for months or years, waiting for DHARMA to come around.)

Like I was saying, what the hell is temple? Have we encountered the temple before?

Also, we're several shows in and we haven't had one shot of Kate's cleavage. This really pisses me off.

This was the first time where we actually saw the Temple. It was mentioned before in previous episodes.

In "left behind" Season 3

JULIET: Alright. We don't know what it is but we know it doesn't like "our" fences...

(after the monster tried to follow them back to the barracks)
.
.
.
Now we see that the monster has some kind of dominion over "The Temple" where the Others go, and see as "the only safe place on the island".

So which is it? The monster is accepting of them and allows The Others in the temple? We saw Ben summon the damn thing last season. Or they use the fences to keep it out? Why would she say that?

Now we see that the monster has some kind of dominion over "The Temple" where the Others go, and see as "the only safe place on the island".

So which is it? The monster is accepting of them and allows The Others in the temple? We saw Ben summon the damn thing last season. Or they use the fences to keep it out? Why would she say that?
I'm not sure I believe everything that comes out of Juliets mouth. It may be thats is her understanding of the monster. Ben likes to keep secrets.

It would indeed appear that Juliet went to the 'Benjamin Linus University of Truth Telling'

I especially loved the bit last night "You said John didn't go to see you" "He didn't, I went to see him".

Classic Ben. And I really can't wait to see that, if they show it to us.

Probably just a plot hole as far as Juliet's line. In a show this complicated and with this many episodes, there's no way to keep every single line of dialogue straight with "the story."

You could be right.

But I'm pretty sure these two men spend the entirety of their days doing that exact thing...or trying to.

I loved that scene. Jack is the biggest puppet in the show. No more O6 episodes, please. The island episodes have been nothing short of great.. and with the addition of Jin now, it just makes them even better. I am sick of tired of the Kate/Jack/etc story. Just get back to the island, where the real LOST'ing is occuring.

I'm not a big Jack hater like a lot of you are, but I agree that the island has been the more entertaining and enlightening venue this season.

And hey, it's pretty obvious that everyone's going to be back on the island pretty soon, so...

The real question is, just what in the hell are they supposed to be working towards once they get back. Locke likes to remind everyone that they were brought to the island for a reason...what is it?

Here's a conversation from season 1.... I forgot about this. I guess we were supposed to be expecting that guy to lose his arm.

(extra lines because they're hilarious)

Quote:
HURLEY: Let me ask you something, Arnzt.

ARZT: Arzt.

HURLEY: Arnzt.

ARZT: No, not Arnzt, Arzt. A-R-Z-T, Arzt.

HURLEY: Sorry, man, the name's hard to pronounce.

ARZT: Yeah, well, I know a bunch of 9th graders who pronounce it just fine.

HURLEY: How about I just call you by your first name?

ARZT: How about you don't.

HURLEY: Why not? I remember it from the plane's manifest. I think Leslie's a bitchin' name.

ARZT: Arnzt is fine.

[They come to a piece of black fabric hanging from a branch.]

DANIELLE: Le Territoire Fonce.

JACK: The Dark Territory.

DANIELLE: The Black Rock is not far. This is where it all began -- where my team got infected -- where Montand lost his arm. We must move quickly.

ARZT: You know what? I'm going back.

JACK: Hey, I thought you wanted to help.

ARZT: Yeah, I wanted to help -- that was before Montand lost his fricking arm.

JACK: Well, what about the dynamite?

Crazy theory time: Locke/Bentham doesn't/didn't/won't commit suicide. He can't do it, just like he couldn't kill his father. So Ben kills him.

So you think he's really dead and not in an induced coma like Nicky and Paolo?
