I think I will go to bed so the Rangers can win it finally.

TheBillWalton The Bill Walton Trip
The Texas LeBrons sure don't know how to close out a big game.
TheBillWalton The Bill Walton Trip
Somewhere Dirk Nowitzki is shaking his head in utter disgust at this choking display by the Rangers. The German Mongoose cannot save them.

No way they get out of this inning....Card batters are all warmed up, and we're down to our worst pitchers...

As disappointed as I am right now, I really feel sorry for the Ranger batters. They did their job tonight. Our pitching was woefull....

No way Harrison wins against Carpenter tomorrow night...10-1 Cards, over by the 3rd inning...

I literally am numb. We have a resilient bunch. Very resilient. But I don't know that we can come back from this. I don't know that Matt Harrison has what it takes to go out and beat their ace after such a huge comeback, playing in their home, etc. You talk about momentum - they have it in a major, major way.
Just so very painful.

Says the person that picked the Cards in a sweep. I am pessimistic given the situation we find ourselves in, but sheesh.

One shitty strike away. OK, the series was not about momentum, but advantage Cardinals.

Getting 27 more Cardinal batters out seems like such a daunting task right now.

What do we think the odds are that Nellie and Nap Nap Wiener play tomorrow? I have to admit, I though Napoli was done as soon as I saw the replay of his ankle bending to an improbable angle. I know he finished the game, but I can't help but wonder how that thing is going to be feeling right when he wakes up in the morning.

I was screaming at Wash several times tonight, but this is obviously absurd, and hopefully alcohol induced.
As for tomorrow(tonight), I have no idea what to think. I doubt Nellie can go and who knows about Nap. More than anything I'm concerned about Harrison having what it takes between the ears to do something like this.

It probably wouldn't have mattered...but, that 3-0 pitch to Freese was high, should have been ball 4.

This is pretty simple.
Game three, up 13, 6 and half to play. -2006
Game six, bottom ninth, bottom tenth... 2 outs, 2 strikes. TWICE! -2011
The mavs erased five years of complete heartache, and now the Rangers have come and replaced it with something perhaps even more gut-wrenching only months later.
The sports gods are fickle bitches.
I should have known that heavy burden would be replaced with another.

guys, anyone else have nightmare images replaying the game last night? THE HORROR. What the hell happened? I cant help but think of the 2006 mavs. This is just beyond comprehension. WHY baseball gods WHY?
Surely there is zero chance of them winning tonight with HARRISON vs CARPENTER. Entire pitching staff is depleted. Neftali hadnt thrown a single off speed ball the entire year until game 5, and he decides to practice in game 6 of the world series with EVERYTHING on the line. jesus christ man.

The images running through my head are alternative realities in which different pitches are thrown to Freese and Berkman.
Carpenter was not good on three days' rest last time. The Rangers haven't lost back to back games in two months (this has to be some kind of record, right?).
However, that was just literally the worst loss in the history of professional sports, and we were on the receiving end of it.
Nap Nap Weiner will play. Cruz not so sure.

Don't worry, the heartache experienced yesterday will be replaced with a sigh of relief and immediate joy today. There is just no other way my brain can conceive it ending. I believe. I simply must. I can't deal with an off-season after such a melt down so this WILL end in our favor.
Cards get the memory of having one of the best World Series wins of all time but we get the hardware.
Tonight the Texas Rangers win the World Series! Believe!

This is awesome. The playoffs in basketball and baseball are a true joy. Obviously it's only going to be a joy in the end if the Rangers pull it off tonight. But I'm freaking loving these playoffs.

Somebody tweeted that this, one of the best World Series the sport has ever seen, will likely be the lowest-rated World Series the sport has ever seen. This just shows how stupid America really is.

I struggled sleeping at all last night...Due to my heart being pulled out of my chest and bleeding all over the carpet, I am heavily considering just recording the game...and around 10 pm checking the score...I have absolutely no confidence at all with Harrison, and our bullpen right now. I have a feeling that they are all shell-shocked and will struggle keeping the ball in the playing field.
