Get ready for the Warriors-Thunder clash in the 1st round. I dont see the Thunder getting out of the #8.

I honestly don't see the Warriors making it out of the Western playoffs, and that's not because I don't like them. (Specifically Steph Curry) I don't who will be the team to knock them out - hopefully it doesn't have to be the Mavs if they fall to the 8 seed.

OMG just saw Westbrook has three triple doubles in the last 5 games. All 3 with 30+ points. 2 with 40+ points.
On a side note, anyone who thinks the draft is a crapshoot needs to examine Sam Presti's record.
2007 --> KD (2), Carl Landry (31), Glen Davis (35)
2008 --> Westbrook (4), Ibaka (24)
2009 --> Harden (3)
2010 --> Eric Bledsoe (18)
2011 --> Reggie Jackson (24)
2012 --> PJIII (28)
2013 --> Steven Adams (12), Archie Goodwin (29)
2014 --> McGary (21)
I mean seriously. Every year this guy consistently finds contributors. When he drafts early, he drafts a star.

That is impressive but lets be real you cant count the bledsoe pick, reggie might end up being nothing more than roddy and the other picks were 2 3 and 4. Literally everyone takes KD in 2007(it was dumb of portland not to take him 1), westbrook was a great pick and the harden pick is cancelled out by the terrible trade of harden.

None of that changes the fact that he drafted solid players almost every pick. And LOL at Reggie being compared to roddy.

That was mostly just bait. If you count Bledsoe as a presti pick you have to count toddy too

I don't agree with any of this. Your opinion is your opinion but come on now... I detect a lot of spin on this post.

Presti is a great drafter, I'm just saying there are different degrees of difficulty with different picks and his have skewed low

Westbrook became only the 4th player in the past 30 years to record 6 triple-doubles in a season w/ 25+ points... LeBron, MJ, and Magic being the others.

Nugs/Thunder is pretty entertaining
Davis with 36pts, 13reb, 7ast, 9blk
Was flirting with a quad-dub all game but not looking like he can pull it off.

He holds ball then jacks up the weirdest shots for a guy who can't shoot. He can't run an offense, doesn't have play-making skills, doesn't play even fundamental defense from what I've seen either. Another overrated Duke system player. Can't believe he was a top 10 pick.
Edit-- My God Gobert has just gone full grown man mode since Kanter trade and Utah's defense has risen while thunder has fallen. He is so long I just expect every rebound to be his.

That Utah team has a lot of talent and potential and probably a bright future. Great article about them on nyloncalculus.com today.
They may snag a playoff spot as early as next season.

10ppg, 16rpg, 2blks, 1stl in March.
Jazz are 8-2 in that stretch

Rockets games are downright unwatchable. The fans are amusing. They are hyper-aware of all things Dallas and have a complex with being inferior with anything from building skylines to how dirty their city is after parsons said Dallas was "cleaner". So hypocritical too, they preach a word like "analytics" yet tried to form a big 3 with superstars this last summer in which case they would have kept parsons. 5-6 games into the year they wouldn't stop shouting to the world how Ariza was better than parsons, even wrote several articles. Then Ariza hit a shooting slump so bad Rondo looked like Korver, so they praised his defense and how parsons cant defend at all, yet players actually shoot better against Ariza than Parsons. Ariza is a better gambler but not an actual better on ball defender, so they preach analytics but ignore... stats... so they can praise their no D flopping mvp harden and bash parsons. They blamed Parsons for the lillard buzzer 3 last year yet ignore that Harden once again sucked in playoffs shooting 37% from field 29% from 3 and was so bad on defense they had to use parsons on lillard because Harden can't defend. Some MVP, but hey "fear the beard" even tho the only thing really frightening is that you could prolly feed a third world country with the food that gets stuck in that thing.
Oh and they still send X-mas cards to Jordan for having banners in their stadium, or at least they should regardless of what Maxwell has to say.

Gobert was able to add muscle and mass in a way that many thin players can't do. He clearly looks bulkier compared to last season. Crazy that he was drafted 27th in his class.

injuries hitting at bad time for Portland and OKC.
AND THIS NOTE:
Kobe only played in 35 games, but still leads Lakers in shot attempts through 66 games.

Can the league keep surviving having two conferences that are total opposites? It's just an insult that you can be ten games under .500 in the east and still be in the playoff conversation. We would be third in the east which is shocking considering how the team has played since ASB.

The thing is, the way the lottery is structured it artificially helps the west long term. First the western teams records are artificially depressed by played 68% of their games against the west when every western team but the clippers has a better record against the east then the west while the east's records are artificially inflated for the inverse reason. The biggest issue though is that teams like phoenix, new orleans(though im not sure if they will keep their pick) and utah which would all make the playoffs in the east get lottery picks to improve their young cores while teams like boston who would have no prayer at the playoffs are taken out of the lottery by being in the terrible east.
If new orleans somehow clevelands and wins the lottery despite the long odds, that team will be horrifying for years.(assuming the pick is protected enough they would get it)

As good as Atlanta is, I would be some degree of terrified if Paul George comes back at full strength.

If you ever feel bad about our crappy FT shooting, just look up Clint Capela's FT shooting.
0-15 for 0% shooting this year. ZERO PERCENT.

Just a random observation regarding LeBron, who has been mostly excellent throughout the year:
PPG: 25.6, lowest since his rookie year
FG%: 49.0%, lowest since 08-09
3PT%: 35.4%, lowest since 10-11
FT%: 71.5%, lowest since 07-08
RPG: 6.0, lowest since his rookie year
SPG: 1.6, tied for lowest of his career
All of that, and he's still unquestionably one of the top 5 players in the league, but his decline is very real. I've never really been a fan of his, but I'm really looking forward to seeing how his game develops as he ages more and loses his freakish athleticism and has to play an even more cerebral game.

OKC vs NOP will be interesting-- at least until they are murdered by GSW.
Both teams are 42-36
NOP is 5-5 in last 10
OKC is 4-6 in last 10
Upcoming schedule:
NOP
Suns 4/10
@ Rockets 4/12
@ Timberwolves 4/13
Spurs 4/15
OKC
Kings 4/10
@Pacers 4/12
Blazers 4/13
@Wolves 4/15
NOP has the tougher schedule, but holds the tie breaker. OKC has the easier schedule by far.
Hard to bet against OKC, but it could get interesting.
