Isn't it hilarious that the Houston trolls are coming around again because they might make the playoffs over us?

Never gets old. James Frauden... may he never leave Houston and continue to be the eye sore of the NBA while fumbling away their championship hopes between his clubbing routine.

Could you imagine if Rick had Harden and Howard on his team? Then again, Harden would probably pull a Rondo because Rick actually demands a modicum of discipline from his players.

I think he'd(harden) be constantly in the dog house for poor effort in practice and coming into every season out of shape. They would most definitely bump heads cuz of what you say, his poor discipline isn't something RC would tolerate but if he let monta do what harden does he'd prolly let harden do that also. He just wouldn't be given carte blanche to play as loose with the ball as he currently does. RC would prolly bump heads with howard some also but imo not as much as Harden. When I've seen rockets games this year Howard calls for the ball in the post with a 6'2 small on him, a clear mismatch and he is absolutely ignored. That would never happen on this team. RC would give Howard every chance to take advantage of those times and the vets here would give him those chances. And if he didn't capitalize he'd simply bring in another option off the bench. So that is where I think the tension would come. Houston's defense is so terrible when Howard leaves his man to help nobody slides over and it's wide open dunk. When they show howard after he basically throws his arms up like, "wtf guys?!?!". They ignore him and Frauden takes the ball up the court and pounds the ball into the floor and throws a last second pass in the corner for an "assist"... rinse repeat. Howard's biggest problem is he seems unwilling to accept that he is rly only a pnr5, as he has never developed a post game. If Mavs were willing to feature DJ tho as a cornerstone I think they'd give whatever that role was to Howard. I think RC is willing to give him a few post touches per game just to appease him though. It's just Howard is not worth what DJ is as a long term max given his age and injuries IMO.... but I still think that may be our best option sadly, regardless of what reports say about our interest.

I want to see the Warriors lose the record so badly. I hope either SA or Memphis takes them down.

This is what I've come to as well. Is DH a franchise, max player? No. Is he going to get that max money? More than likely. And "long term" in today's NBA is 4 years. Say Dirk plays another year or two with a quality defensive center, then we have DH for another 2 years while we go into full on rebuild mode. I'm fine with that. DH just makes the most sense for this team for the next 2 years.

Man, Tyson Chandler's star has faded... He can still grab boards and get putbacks, but he looks a step or two slower on defense. Is he still injured?

To think the Rockets fired McHale, the guy who took them to the western conference finals, only to replace him with someone far worse. That's because they let the inmates run the asylum in a way that Rick will never allow. And that's the danger of having huge, huge egos like Harden and Howard thinking they're above it. You have to wonder if they're actually coachable. Who is going to come in and tell Harden not to party to 2 in the morning? Because Harden will just get that coach fired.

Yeah, but Morey went to MIT -- he's a genius, like Kanye... He'll dig them out of this hole.

First shot was definitely rushed but it looked to me like Stephenson got fouled both times... either way, a win's a win!

Harden closing in on breaking the coveted TO record for a season. A record that has stood the test of time for 38 years. He also will be the first player ever to lead the league 3 times in this most MVP of stats.

3 more TO to tie. 4 more TO to set a new record.
He also averages 4.6 a game and has three more games unless Houston benches him now that their playoff hopes are dying but that doesn't look like it's happening according to http://www.chron.com/sports/rockets/...to-7235440.php
If he gets to 377 that record may never be eclipsed-- ever-- unless he himself does it or the NBA extends the season beyond 82 games.
Records already held
Most seasons leading the league in TOs (3)
Most consecutive seasons leading the league in TOs (3)
Records that he can still get
Most TOs in a season -- ever. He's less than a game away at current pace.
Most TOs in a career. He's on pace to pass Malone's record. Only 2,914 to pass Malone (Harden's on pace for 377 this season so 8 more seasons could do it, then again his TOPG keeps going up 3.6->4.0->4.6. He could top 5.0+ next season if the trend holds)

Frauden has secured his rightful place in NBA history. As the single worst player when it comes to protecting the ball due to his stat padding ways.

James Harden’s 370 turnovers (so far) this season have broken a 38-year-old record for the most ever, and are apparently not a mere coincidence, or solely caused by careless ball handling, but are rather the latest manifestation of Lil B’s vendetta against the Rockets and (more specifically) Harden himself. Lil B relayed that news today in addition to also revealing that he’s still blessing the Warriors.

Been a long time since I been here. Assuming Dallas takes care of business in Utah, looks like we'll have Houston in 8th and hopefully my Mavs can do something in the playoffs as well.
