A giant kick to the collective crotch of the metroplex.

Everyone's going to try to tie it on one swing. Six easy outs.

That was a beating.......wow, all my years of Rangers frustration just re-emerged...........
They should not have LOST this game.........

I don't know what's worse. We have options!
Oliver's pathetic display
Young's inability to stop a ball hit directly at him (if he makes the play a good third baseman does, two outs)
Rapada's pathetic down-the-middle strike
They didn't even try to make it difficult for the Yankees. It'd be one thing if their $206 million magic actually required work, but the bullpen just collectively laid down and let the Yankees rape them with piss-poor pitches over and over again.

"It's just one game"... but now we know the bullpen gets zero outs and you have to be scared sh!tless even with large leads.

It's an incredible, incredible story that they have made it this far.
To come up against a team that has done this a hundred thousand times and come up one run short...No one should expect anything different. It's ok.
They were playing with house money BEFORE they beat the rays. Even more so now.

Anybody got any tailgating experience out there? My friends and I were at the game tonight, have tickets for tomorrow that we were going to sell, but can't think of any way to respond to getting kicked in the nuts than to go back out there, earlier, and with beer.
I see the official statement bans open flames for grilling, but I see DMN stories and KXAS photos from 2010 opening day with grills, smokers, you name it. Are there particular non-Rangers lots that are friendly to this sort of thing if you do it right?
I have a miniscule portable grill, barely even an issue, but I don't want to get hassled or fined if I can avoid it. Anybody got any first-hand knowledge?

CJ could have stayed in another batter or two. Washington pisses me off. We had no business losing this game. We destroyed Sabathia and let them off the hook.

There was massive tailgating going on prior to and after game three last series. Plenty of grills in the ranger lots and the six flags lot. The rangers even sold people parking spots ahead of time so they could setup a massive tailgate. I think you're in the clear.

Last saturday, there was actually a really good tailgating scene prior to the game. I got there at about 12:00 or so. Yeah, we had an open flame. What else are you going to do?.. Throw the meat on the ground and let it cook itself?

I know that I will be unable to watch today's game with the sound on. I just cannot imagine listening to the announcers describe what happened yesterday. I woke up repeatedly last night thinking "that was devastating"...

That was extremely painfull! My young son who has never watched baseball - I let him stay up late with me (a rare event) and he was heartbroken. Hated to see him go through that. He was so into it up until the crushing 7th....
Hand it to the Yankees - they are experts in crushing hopes...They make you think that they are on the ropes, and then they just take the legs from under you. The other disappointing thing is that this like the Mavs/Miami series - 2 home games, 3 away games and 2 home games. You lose one or both first set of home games...it is totally a visitor series.

I was at the game, but I also recorded it so I could go back and listen to the calls of some of the plays. And good God...Ernie Johnson is great for the NBA. I love him on TNT with that stuff. But for MLB he is AWFUL. He cannot do MLB play-by-play, period.

This performance makes it all the more depressing that they blew it last night. They could be up 2-0 with a Cliff on the mound for a chance to make it 3-0. Sigh.
But I'll agree with Flaco that it's house money at this point.

I can think of things more depressing than winning Game 2 though.

If you really think about it, NY has only had one really good inning. Aside from Cano killing us. It's just unfortunate it was a really bad inning. I'm liking our chances.

Anyone else pick up world series tickets today? It's surreal that it's even a possibility.

I got 12 (8 for Game 3, 4 for Game 4) in the internet presale lottery last week. Even if we don't get past New York, at least I'll get to take a picture of them and show it to my kids.
