<< epitome- are you a non-mav fan?
The refs have been consistent. I don't like a lot of their calls, but it's fairly even. >>
I am a Maverick fan (although to be honest with the way the Kings have been screwed injury and call wise I dunno who to root for)
and no the Kings have been getting royally (no pun intended) screwed on the calls. It's so blatant that an obvious Maverick homer such as myself notices it. At least 3 phantom foul calls on Webber and Divac a piece, alot of other calls have gone the Mavs way too. It's not the worst officiated game I've ever seen, but let's just say I don't think the Mavs have much room to complain about the refs screwing them over in this one.

If you don't know who to root for... then you must not be a Mavs fan...

Sure did...Christie got the tip, Dirk had it in his hand and took his eye off the ball and lost it.
It may have been a questionable pass by Finley but Dirk shouldn't have taken his eye off the ball either.
...and I'm now turning the tv off as I can't watch anymore.

Epitome- I totally agree. The fouls on the KINGS have been a joke..thats the home-court advantage in the NBA..

the mavs didn't score much in the 4th..
but, the thing that kills the mavs is defense..
let's hope that dirk, fin, nash, nve and lafrentz can all come back next season and learn how to play some

He had 22 points at the half... 8 points in the second half is choking....
and if you are going by number alone Epitome... Dirk had a better all around game...
31 points
11 rebounds
7 assists...

The Mavs HAVE to find a big guy that doesn't mind banging hard in the middle.

It's over, Murph. No more smart post game analysis.
Before that last play, Fin's jumper didn't go in.

That's always going to be the Mavs problem as long as Nellie is coaching...

can we stop making it a dirk vs webber thing.. or a fin vs dirk thing for a sec..
it would be nice to actually address the MAIN reasons the mavs lost..
rebounding and defense

It looks like the Kings are just better than the Mavs. BTW, what happened to Nash and Van Exel in the 4th and overtime?

Yeah he couldn't choke... he was on the **bench** at the end of the game.
Hard to choke when you aren't on the floor.
Whatever.

Game Four is over. No excuses.
Get ready for Arco. Like Yogi Berra said, "It ain't over 'til it's over."
And I still think the Mavs can do it.

i was being sarcastic bayliss..sorry, it didn't really translate to well in the message
well, dirk's about the only rebounder out of the big five...
he needs to work on that some but everyone else needs to significantly improve
defensively.. dirk needs to toughen up and work on his lateral quickness whereas lafrentz needs to toughen up and stay out of foul trouble.. the guards need to look like they care about defense at all

Dirk drove... shot about a 5-7 footer.... rolled everywhere and I mean everwhere on the rim... rolled out...

I know turnovers were a HUGE factor late in the game. Nash owned 9 of those.
But, rebounding hurt us most.
