the 3 did it today.. bucks hitting lucky shots and mavs didnt and mavs not concentrated enough over stretches. oh well... shit happens... somehow the bucks games have been ugly the last few years.

Charles Foster Kane needs to express his opinion of the 12 game streak

He shoots them short every time. It only takes simple adjustment to fix, but a short shot has almost no chance of going in.

I've gone from getting mad when Haywood misses to just straight laughing at him now. I can see the miss coming.

exactly. Its a gamble. It trades 3 pointers and paint defense for midrange/penetration defense.

The way to beat a zone is to
a) shoot and make the open 3s (Bucks did)
b) have an inside force (Bucks did)
c) penetrate faster than the zone can adjust for (Bucks did)

Well, Bucks deserved to win this one...Mavs will feel the sting of the loss and get ready to detroy Portland Wed and take out Phoenix on Fri......this wasn't our best defensive night and it happens...no worries here.

Once he missed the 1st pair, he has to come out of the game. But the game was lost way before than. Jennings was having a good time in the 2nd half on the Mavs backcourt.

Bad players were hitting shots they usually dont hit and in the last minutes they played incredible stupid.

We shot ourself more in the foot than the "greatness" of the Bucks.

I think it can be annoying too. But it's not "braver" to call a win when you're down with some time left, too. It's just people's opinions and predictions. Sometimes you're right, sometimes you're wrong.

Everybody is still rooting for the Mavs, I would presume.

Giving up a 20-point second-quarter (like we all knew they would) is not Haywood's fault.

They got what they deserved.

Well. He was the game changing factor, but if the other teammates wouldn't have given away a 20 points lead, his fail wouldn't really matter.

Actually, it is braver. But beyond that, you're sorely mistaken if you think I'm "calling" a win, just as you are sorely mistaken if you think I'm being serious when I quote myself after "calling" a Mavs comeback.

What I'm doing is purposefully injecting positive energy into GDT's that are disgustingly full of negativity anytime sh*t is going even slightly wrong for the Mavs. And it's not even quirky, funny negativity in the vein of a Flaco. Instead, it's quitter-mentality whining that reeks of Spurs-fan like entitlement. It's embarrassing and pathetic.

ever play a game of nba jam with the "cpu assistance" turned on? so when a team gets a big lead, the cpu steps in and cheats to keep the game close and makes the team with the lead miss everything and turn the ball over while the team that's losing hits everything they shoot? that's what watching the mavs is like, every game

i just hope this loss lights a fire under them and is a wake up call. the next two games are nationally televised games so i want the mavs to look sharp against the blazers and suns. then comes the @heat@magic and @thunder. talk about murderers row.

Longhorn, I think if you consistently call for the Mavs to lose/miss/fail, then yeah, it is a play-it-safe mentality Those who do that can take the boot.

I don't think the majority of the GDT posters are just protecting their weak little hearts though - perhaps I just scroll by those losers. I mostly see people recognizing a trend and calling it for what it is- such as seeing opposing teams come back from large deficits really quickly in prior games and assuming if that trend continues, the Mavs will get bit.

Trust me, I see nothing wrong with that whatsoever. That's the kind of intelligent analysis I hope for when I come around here.

But there are some people who can't stop themselves from going meltdown-mode anytime things are going even a little poorly. It doesn't have to be a 20-point lead blown.

You don't wanna lose to the Bucks, especially a 12 game streak. Regardless of how scrappy a team plays or how much a teams coach scowls.

The avalanche didn't start with Haywoods missed free throws fwiw... It started at exactly a 20pt lead and we had a stupid turnover on an inbound pass from Marion to JJB after a timeout. Boneheaded plays cause an epic loss of momentum time and time again. Seems like this team (as good as we can be), at times fails to match lesser teams intensity and aggression, luckily we have come out on top more often than not but it definitely shouldn't happen at home.
