You know what's a bigger honor? Playing with Dirk like I will be as the starting center! Suck it Pau!

I'd think you're just doing a schtick, but based on what I actually know about McGee, you genuinely could be him based on how you act.

I checked his IP, it's definitely McGee... 100% verified.

Another GOAT list. This one at least doesn't disrespect Dirk like some others seem to. They give him an average rank of #23 all time. He is behind KG(19) Barkley(18) and Malone (17) who are the ones he is most commonly debated with.
Nash getting some love at 37 and Kidd at 32.

Dirk passing Shaq this year in scoring will be fantastic to see! Before finishing his career I hope we can see him reach the 30K plateau.

I can see putting Barkley and Malone over Dirk. Not KG.

My favorite reply to this was- Dirk wins hands down, unless he stops to drain a 3.

Just watched Dirk's movie again. There was some great footage during one of the montage parts. It's from that classic game 7 against the Spurs in 2006. It was during the first half at 55-38 when Dirk dribbled past Duncan and made the basket and got also a free throw. Then he bumps with J.Howard. The part which I'm talking about was filmed pretty high behind the basket. I had never seen that footage before. But anyway my point was, that the celebration with Howard was always one of my favourite moments.
He was so fired up.

Watched "The perfect shot" last night.
Dirk is an uncommon super star... that is for sure.
Was a real treat to get more insight into his life and career for me (I became a Mavs fan in 2013).

To be honest some parts could have been better. The director could have included more basketball stuff and Dirk's greatest moments. There were really only a couple of montages and I was quite disappointed how his championship run was presented. The finals and that whole Miami saga should have deserved more.

KGs done, Pierce is done, Kobe is bad... Dirk is leading the league in points per shot and is scoring at the same rate as in his prime... Just playing fewer minutes.

I know its Dirk so media never pays attention, but I really wish theyd do a piece or shed some light on the differences between Dirk/Kobe at this point in their careeers and what theyve done as far as the future of the teams.

Holger clearly did change something in the last weeks/months because the changed shot technique from last year didnt really work that well.
Dirk shot pretty bad in the Euro Championships in September and now all of a sudden everything goes in.
I think they fixed sth.
Hes shooting 55/52/91 right now. This is beyond crazy.

Cuban mentioned something on the radio... Said that Dirk can still do what he has always done offensively... Just has to have the confidence that he's not too old to do it. I kinda felt the same with him last year. Stopped looking to be the guy because? Well, he did it because he's older and he thought that's what he was supposed to do.

Dirk being 7th in PER no matter whether you believe in that stat or not is telling what great start he had so far. Not that I'd put him up with the other guys up there at this point of his career, but in terms of getting the most out of ones minutes it's still impressive.

Watched "The Perfect Shot" on Netflix last night. SMH. I didn't think it was possible to root for Dirk even more, but my man crush is even stronger. I loved how he took off and went camping in New Zealand with Holger after the sad "jailbird" saga. Very smart, and the perfect way to get away and put things in perspective. What I wouldn't give to hang out and have glass of red wine with him.. In the off-season, of course. Grats to Dirk and his family. What a great story, and I love the emphasis on work ethic and its rewards.

Nowitzki and everybody else jumped up and started cheering Felton's dance.
"All I could think about was Dirk," Felton said. "He's been in my corner ever since last year. Everybody was excited and happy to see from what I went through last year to now. This is what I've been waiting for, to have an opportunity like this. But at the same time, we did it together."

Dirk claims that as long as he doesn't have to pop 1,000 pills to play or practice that he'll continue playing.
1,000 pills per a 2 week period? I am curious what he means. That is an awfully large number. It kinda implies that he is playing as long as the pills can do away with any pain he experiences and he can still shoot. I see him signing another contract and passing Wilt Chamberlain in the all-time scoring list. That is AWESOME!
He still has fun playing the game at the age of 37. I love how he's played it for this long and still loves playing. Also his teammates seem to love having him around. I can see him playing until at least the age of 40 then. Maybe even later really. How many 7 footers are as disciplined as Dirk? Ask yourself that.

He just means that he'll play as long as he's healthy and not reliant upon an insane amount of medication to get him through the season.

I think he'll definitely be back next season. After that depends on many other factors. At most I think he has two more after this season. He won't hang around to chase records or past his usefulness and he has two little children at home.
