RE: Lost
You might want to pose that question to the Japanese scientists who are planning on detonating a bomb at the bottom of Loch Ness!

invisable dinosaurs are for sure.....
I for one will be a bit ticked off if all this mysterious stuff turns out to be happenstance and at the series end it turns out that they are just stranded on some island that happens to have polar bears and large lizards...and they get rescued by some fisherman or something...
I think the writers have got more going on than to allow this show to sputter to its end like that.

RE:Lost
A white witch and a Swedish scientist are going head to head in a bid to find the Loch Ness monster.
Their contest is being dubbed the "battle of the broomsticks".
The pair are both planning to arrive at the loch within days of each other at the end of April.
Kevin Carlyon, a High Priest in the British Coven of White Witches, is planning to sail out on to the loch and cast a protective spell on the illusive creature to the sound of bagpipes.
Meanwhile Jan Sunberg, a member of the Global Underwater Search Team, is making final preparations for an expedition to the loch during which he hopes to trap the monster and take samples of its DNA.
Both are predicting a showdown with Mr Carlyon, from Hastings, East Sussex, warning he may sabotage Mr Sunberg's mission. Mr Sunberg claims he will continue regardless of Mr Carlyon's activities.
Mr Carlyon, who has only recently recovered after he broke his leg falling over his pet black cat, said: "We basically plan to go out on to the loch and cast a spell on Nessie that will hopefully prevent her ever being caught. "
He added: "If Jan Sunberg turns up we may just have to circle his boat and put a spell on him too. It will be a battle of the broomsticks."
Mr Sunberg is taking his trip to Scotland far more seriously. His four-man expedition team will set a huge trap in a shallow area of the lake in an ambitious bid to snare the ancient monster of the deep.
Speaking from Sweden, he said: "This is a serious business... We will lay the trap and then when the monster is trapped we will study it and take DNA samples. We will then release it back into the loch. We are aware of the cynics but we don't care what they say."

RE:Lost
Sir Godfrey of the Nessie Alliance summoned the help of Scotland's local wizards to cast a protective spell over the lake and its local residents and all those who seek for the peaceful existence of our underwater ally.
some people believe!
Anyway, we've seen cat-humans created, and we've seen dinosaurs reconstituted from mosquito blood, and we've seen James Bond's invisible car
who says that we can't create a mutant half-snake, half-dinosaur with an invisibility cloak?

Next Wednesday.
Ethan confrontation, and a Charlie-centric episode. Lost-media.com has promotional pictures and shows Charlie sitting at dinner with some woman and what appears to be her father. And he looks dapper in a suit.

[WAUT]At first I thought Jack was pointing the gun at Locke. But I don't think that's true. I wonder if, since Locke is probably hunting Ethan that the Island gets mad at him and takes away what it gave him... the ability to walk? [/WAUT]

any thoughts on this pic?
Is the gun pointed at Locke or just to the right of him?

RE: Lost
I think this is the battle for the control of the castaways. I think Locke is a little out of control and this finally causes friction between he and Jack. Always bet on the gun.

Locke doesn't want to leave the Island, so it seems. And he has been gathering a following (Boone, Walt, and now Michael it seems.... and to a lesser degree Charlie). So maybe that is what he is referring to.

RE: Lost
As we've discussed, it seems as though there is constant "division" taking place - with both social and political tension and inertia. Teams are dividing and it looks like Locke and Jacke are the most likely "team captains". We know the following people are on locke's team:
Walt
Boone
CHarlie (I think)
Michael (I think)
And I'm sure that Sawyer eventually joins this group - so he can stay opposite Jack.
Anyway, that's what I meant.

Nice sig- ET.
I'm geeked up for next Wednesday. I think we need to take some shots at a (brief) stroyline. Here goes:
CLaire's back. Still pregnant. Ethan wants the baby because of some special pseudoreligious symbolism. Locke and Jack can't agree on how to handle this imminent threat. Tension and fight occur. Settles down - Jack gets his way. They set a trap and kill ETHAN...plus, they find out more about the black rock.
I'm calling it baby. Backboard!

RE:Lost
Thoughts:
I know from experience that women still have bellies after giving birth.
Almost certain that the gun is not pointed at Locke.
Almost certain that is not a body bag, but possibly a makeshift stretcher. There are bodies all over the place; why bring one to the beach? I think it is Clair and from the first 5 minutes of the episode. THus the shot over Charlie's shoulder to get both his POV and reaction.

do you think the pic of clair (with belly) - is her being used as bait to lure Ethan out (presumably with Jack, locke, etc.) waiting for him?

RE: Lost
That would make sense. It seems to me that perhaps Ethan and Locke got into a battle and Ethan somehow knocked Locke out, whether by surprise or not. I don't know of any reasons why Jack would make an enemy of Locke. Jack is likely just helping Locke and not putting a gun to his face, after all he is a doctor.
Claire would make good bait for Ethan, though I doubt she agreed with the idea. I dont think Locke lost his ability to walk based on that picture because his left knee is in the air.

I'm gonna block that one to the third row, sexy. There is no way that after all this buildup that Ethan will be killed in the next episode. The dude has some kind of ability we know nothing about (I.E. the ability to carry both Claire and Charlie away and then leaving Charlie with no memory of the event) If they do kill Ethan, which I find a bit unlikely at this point, it will be at least two episodes away...
