Mavs showed up tonight. This was a great performance, the last five minutes notwithstanding. These two teams know they might meet again.

so we've recently lost to the Spurs, Pistons, and Suns
I'm SO positive heading into the playoffs... especially since our injured idiots are having a blast collecting their effing paychecks and watching our team lose

The Mavs need to get healthy... They've played short handed against some damn good teams and just came up short. It's time to get some of these guys back and get a little continuity.
Man, the difference in the game might have been as simple as having one extra guy on the court that would grab a board or two besides the guys at the C or PF spots... |

I'm now convinced the Mavs can play with anybody in the playoffs, and if they don't ultimately win it all, it will be because they didn't have a designated three-point shooter off the bench. Everything else, the Mavs can hang with anybody. But we all know how handy a Steve Kerr type can come in. Man, I wish Daniels or Howard or Harris had some range. If the Mavs have a weakness, that's their only one. Otherwise, they can look anybody in the game eye to eye.

The Mavs got caught way too many times late in the shot clock without a chance at a good look..that hurt quite a bit as well.

Marquis really seemed to play the p&r poorly. He consistenly couldn't get around the pick.

We played rather well given our injury situation. I am excited about tomorrow's game. Howard might play tommorrow. Either ways we will win tommorrow's game for sure.

it's a combination of things... so much school work to do this week.. on top of that I go to work after school.... and now I get home and the Mavs lose... especially like this. Now, I have to do more ridiculous homework
the biggest problem that all this amounts to is: due to schoolwork that I have to do this week, I can't effing drink right now.

Murph, what killed the Mavs was rebounding and turnovers.
But when Dirk got that offensive board... he should have taken it up stronger than that fadeawy off the wrong foot... or he should've kicked it out. But he damn sure shouldn't have shot that weak assed shot. The Mavs need Devin Harris's penetration. They won't beat the "upper echelon" teams until they get him back in the lineup.

9-12 from beyond the arc didn't help... some of those were ridiculous... Rasheed from way down town.. Rasheed off the iron bouncing about 4 feet above the rim only to fall through... those suck the life out of you.

I got my peace right now. Couldn't stand during the game and felt like a decisive game in POs. Game over then found it not POs. I know I'm consoling myself after a loss but it was just like a nightmare and I finally got the peace in the wake. The team is good.

31 pts (8-14 FG, 4-4 3P), 11 asts, 4 rebs, 3 stls. Only Hamilton had >2 PFs. That's inexcusable. |
