Maxi for Danilo doesn't work since Gali is owed 20 million per through next season. Not sure I'd be on board for that kinda price tag, but it's not my money.
But THJ for Gali works straight up. Considering Galo would be an expiring next season...I do that right away.

Right away. Since I've said I'd give THJ for a bag of funyons, Gallo is an upgrade to that offer. Good dude n all

I take Gallo but he’s been very unimpressive in Atlanta this season.

The proposed trade was Maxi and Dwight (at least that’s how I read it). I’d prefer to move THJ just to get out from his contract.
I wonder if the Kings have any interest in Holmes/Bagley for Powell/Maxi/2nd? I’m usually for giving formerly lottery picks a second chance in a change of scenery.

Maxi and Dwight for Danilo? Where did you see that?

Previous post that you quoted.
“god, I hope he wouldn't be the only one coming to Dallas. It would have to have THJ involved or Dwight AND Maxi. Not sure I'd do Maxi for Danilo straight up. Would be psyched though if we somehow got Collins or Capela though.”
Nvm @ DHWS. I reread the post and realized the original post did say that person isn’t sure they do Maxi for Galo (even though as you said is not financially possible).

Gallo looks like The Mummy moving around out there. I don’t think I’d give Maxi or Dwight for him straight up, even if matching salaries weren’t an issue. Let alone both of them.

I was just saying I am not sure I would do Maxi for Gallo talent wise, money aside. It would have to be THJ or that combo of Maxi and Powell to match salary. Or more players involved.
So, like I said, I hope better pieces came our way as part of the deal. Or I could get behind the THJ being dealt to shed the money.
In this hypothetical based on a Lauren Gunn trade-thirst-trap-tweet.

I’d do Hield for THJ straight up. We’re still in big time need of a wing that can shoot. While I know Buddy has been dog crap this year, I think he’s one of those guys that would flourish playing with Luka. Remember, just a couple years ago that guy shot 43 percent from three.

This made sense before the Bullock renaissance, but Reggie is just frankly a better all around player.
I truly believe a large reason the Mavs or any team gets in trouble is having a black hole player that just chucks up bad shots. Cough Westbrook Lakers Cough.
Hield shooting us out of games would be a disaster. And he'll shoot no matter what.
I'm not totally against it, but I'd want something more to sweeten the deal. It only saves one year off Tim's contract as well which just isn't that enticing.

Guessing the Harden-Simmons trade is the block that is clogging the rest of the moves. Wonder if we're a part of that in a bigger trade or if it's backing up all the rest of the negotiations.

Keith Smith: It sounds like rival teams think a deal between Brooklyn and Philadelphia may be getting close. One team told me “They’ve kind of put other talks on hold. If that deal finally happens, then the floodgates will open around the league for a lot more to happen.” – via Twitter KeithSmithNBA

They can't wait til the last minute though or those flood gates will never open.

So is it not guaranteed that Hield stays in Indiana? tbh Im not sure how much I want him unless its for THJ or Maxi. If you need to throw in DFS, im not so sure. But im not totally against it.
DFS and Brunson are the two guys Luka is closest with, so its a hard sell

LMAO there is no way you add in DFS for Buddy freakin' Hield. Jake Fischer said Lakers and Mavs are interested.
One thing I will say is that Hield did express an interest in playing here in the past. That's not nothing, but man that is a very high risk, high reward move.

Can the Lakers make it work salary wise? I thought I saw somewhere they have max contract guys, and guys on the minimum. They don’t have any mid range contracts to make salaries match.

Yes, technically, but it would require a 4-for-1
Horton-Tucker, Nunn, Anthony, Ariza for Hield would work, but Indy would also need to clear roster spots.

Adrian Wojnarowski: The Utah Jazz are acquiring guard Portland’s Nickeil Alexander-Walker and the Spurs’ Juancho Hernangomez in a three-way deal, sources tell ESPN. The Spurs gets guard Tomas Satoransky and a second-round pick, and the Blazers get Joe Ingles, Elijah Hughes and a second-round pick. – via Twitter wojespn

Doubt anything happens. Likely wait for the buyout candidates.

Jingles means that Lillard is probably staying put and they are retooling around him as a one-star team

Marc Stein: < 24 hours to go until the NBA trade deadline: Sacramento has been sending more frequent signals that it plans to keep Harrison Barnes rather than trade him, league sources say, as it chases a playoff play-in spot. The Kings have missed the playoffs for 15 seasons in a row. – via Twitter TheSteinLine

Halliburton totally tradable but Barnes untradeable. Kings gonna King.
