And so ends (hopefully) the Antoine Walker era in Dallas.

Why do refs call everything close for so long and then not call a foul when Peja is obviously trying to commit a foul?

Tough, tough. Peja was trying to foul him the whole time but it was nice that it wasn't called.

The Mavs had a chance to win the series but the big 3 was lacking. Bring on the offseason and lets get this sucker ready for next year.

It shouldn't have come down to the final shot.
Nash and Walker basically just turned the game over time after time. They combined for 6 turnovers in the 4th and missed at least 4 layups.

Lmao....You never know with Cuban, grndmstr_c.
When you think he'd do what we think he SHOULD do, he turns around does the opposite...
All in all, Walker wasn't terrible but he was DEFINITELY NOT what the Mavs needed...They needed another shotblocker in the middle.....Maybe they can sign TAG this offseason?

RE: The Magical Game 5 Gamethread - Dal v. Sac
This season was full of ups and downs. Up at the AAC and down on the road. I just hope this wasn't Nash's last season in our uni. I just hope this was Walkers last season in our uni.
It took us 5 games to get it to the right man. He should have had it the other 2 last shot chances.
You know what though, they listed last shot opportunities for win or tie in the newspaper today. The only one who made them was Walker. Only twice, but still... every one else missed. That is hard to believe.

I hope the big three remember this. I hope it leaves a bitter taste in their mouths that only a title will get rid of.
bring on the off season. looks like this summer's going to be an interesting ride.

I just didn't understand at all why we suddenly went to Walker handling the ball with 4 minutes to play.
I didn't understand at all why Nash kept throwing it away.
At least we got the ball to Dirk and he had a good look at the end, but it should have never come down to that.

Walker ruined the entire season? Yeah....I'll bet many of the teams out there consider 52 wins in a season to be considered a "ruined season"

Walker did NOT ruin anything.....It was Nellie's HARE-BRAINED Point-Forward Scheme that was the Mavs UNDOING this year.....YOU KNOW IT....I KNOW IT....AND EVERYONE ELSE KNOWS IT!
Walk did *his* part in the f'up but he was HARDLY the SOLE REASON for this teams Lackluster performance this year. WAKE UP, CLOWN-MAN!!

Boy it's difficult to believe that barkley is dumb enough to talk about the mavs not being able to get offensive rebounds.

No doubt. He was also talking about how we couldn't keep Sac off the offensive glass. What a freaking moron.

Great series mavs fans. Was really close despite the kings winning in 5. Kings were just on fire after the 1st quarter but the mavs were still there. Had Nellie not got the technical, the mavs could have won this game. Anyways your team played hard.

Well we didn't take care of the ball and the turnovers by Nash, Walker, Finley were just dumb some were conjured up but stilll bad.....

Why did Nellie decide to play Walker in the 4th this time???
There's no consistency.....

He played Walker because of Webber & his lack of mobility. Maybe the Mavs will be a different team next year after this experience.

Refs are paid to get the Lakers and/or Spurs to the Finals.....this is totally evident.
League hates Cuban so the Mavs can't be the "sacrificial lamb" to either o these teams.
