I don't care if Mills is an Aussie, but he's a Spur. F**K him.

Well, you know who has a championship ring? Brendan Haywood and Dominique Jones.

Also, Caron Butler who didn't play a minute in the playoffs.

I don't give a fuck if I get banned.

If you can't see that Dirk is too old to be the primary option on a team and still expect him to carry a team deep into the playoffs then yeah you're a homer or just plain naive.

Actually he had an awesome season...just a bad round in the playoffs...unfortunately it was against the spurs. Dirk still has it, it's just that the spurs figured us out.

We should've won this series though.

The story with Dirk is the story its always been. He can't do it by himself. Monta had spurts but to me its clear that this team still needs another scorer on this team.

They need someone who can score points easy. Someone who can score easy interior points. They actually could use a few guys like that.

Very sad indeed.

I'd like to have VC back, but maybe he should go ring hunting.

Add Deng and Gortat and he could win it with us.

I think the Spurs were due for a big game like this. It sucks, and losing is never fun. But we should be pretty happy that we hung around with arguably the best team in the league.

Can you tell all of the homers and naive posters on this board who all of the first ballot hall of fame players are that came off the bench at the end of their career?

Or do you want the sole reason that Dallas is a serious basketball club to break that record too?

well the truth is that u want players like dirk on your roster but he cant carry a team on his shoulders, its like kg in brooklyn hes not the same that the kg from boston but his mere presence boost the whole team, im not saying either that hes garbage or cant play or anything just that is the time when somebody else needs to grab the pasing torch from dirk

Of course they were. They are the best 3 point shooting in the league. You just had that feeling this game was coming. But the unfortunate thing is, the Mavs outplayed the Spurs for the majority of this series and played well enough to sweep them or close it out in 5.

As a European I have to ask.

Would Dirk's legacy be forever tarnished if he'd sign with the Spurs next summer?

That would be the biggest shock in sports?

I would rather have randolph than Gortat. He can put up more points, and is a bigger body..he plays bigger than his height. He's 6'9"...In that case Dirk could play the C, and Randolph PF...and Randolph can bang down low too. Dirk's low post defense isn't all too bad as long as he doesn't have to keep switching off on pick and rolls having to guard a guard. Our point guards' defense really killed us

If Blair plays in game 5, then I think this series could be completely different.

Yes, but very nice team spirit there. I'm very proud of this team.

When the season started many said that there will be no defence, but the games will be fun to watch. They were right on the money.

if blair didnt get suspended the series would have only lasted 6 games. why didnt someone get suspended when they had 5 inbounders in game 6

We need to do what we can to ensure dirk retires a Mav. He had an awesome season, just a bad playoffs series. We also need to work on Ricky Ledo, he's a skilled player. Hopefully Mark is thinking ahead for next season already...knowing him, he probably is

And fun to watch goes a long way in the current league. Hard core defensive teams just don't really exist minus maybe four teams, and you have to have a good offense with good guards to even compete. Shame Ellis didn't show up this game.
