Oh ok. Passing KG is a huge accomplishment. That guy ALWAYS played. Just another example of the greatness of Dirk.

Dirk just nailed 31k points with a very similar shot to his 30k point.

@BallinWithBryan: With that hook shot, Dirk Nowitzki has passed Elvin Hayes (10,976) for eighth place on the NBA’s all-time field goals made list.

This was before tonight's game...
@bobbykaralla: Dirk is 307 points behind Wilt for fifth place. LeBron is 722 points behind Wilt. If they maintain their season scoring pace into 2018-19 and neither player misses a game, Dirk will pass Wilt one game before LeBron does.

And how they close out this season... Dirk could find more opportunities to score with Wes and Dennis sidelined.

"The toughest guy for me to guard? Man, Dirk Nowitzki was almost impossible to guard. I couldn’t figure that guy out, man. I just couldn’t guard him. He played the same position as I did, but he was about four inches taller and he was a sharp-shooter from outside. He was just something that the game hadn’t seen before, so it took me a while to figure out how to guard Dirk. Actually, I didn’t even figure it out, I would just put Shawn Marion on him every time we played them (laughs)." --Amare Stoudemire

That shirt is awesome! I didn't realize it had all that on the back. I just wish when they handed those out at games that they weren't an XL. I always end up giving it to someone. Pretty sure I still have my Dirk 30k shirt somewhere.

Nowitzki is gleefully getting around without a walking boot, and may play more than one more season

Last year was Dirk's second highest eFG% of his career. If not for a bit of a slow finish, it would have easily been his highest...

FYI, Dirk is currently #8 in the history of the NBA in Win Shares. This year, he will pass Tim Duncan and John Stockton. If he plays two more years, he has a chance of passing Jordan and moving into 5th all time.

Interesting... Harden led the league this year with 15.4 win shares... Dirk had 4 seasons higher than that. Tim Duncan had 2. Kobe Bryant had 0. Paul Pierce didn't really come close in any year. Shaq had 2 years higher than 15.4.

Has Dirk officially said that this is his farewell season? Cause I felt like he intended on evaluating it one year at a time. If he feels good at the end of this season, then I figured he'd be back for the next season.

He has not said this was his last season, and actually did say he was going to take one season at a time... Already hinted at possibly coming back next season if his body is up to it.

I’ve heard a few people (beat writers and podcasters) say that it would be extremely difficult for Dirk to come off the bench. Not because he’s not willing because we all know he is and he has said that he’s more than willing to do so. The problem is that it would be very difficult for him to keep warm. He has a very specific routine for keeping warm that leads right up to the start of the game. He has a minute by minute routine that would have to change if he came off the bench. The Locked On podcast suggested that he may need to continue warming up in the gym beneath the AAC right up to the point that he enters the game. It’s going to be interesting to see how Dirk handles this season if he has to come off the bench.

Lol. I've been saying this for quite a long time on here in fact. 🤔
It's really people stuck in a stagnant pattern of thought when it comes to Dirk coming off the bench. There are ways you could approach it to effectively warm him up. Just start his warm up process a little bit later and then let him get on the bike when the game starts
