Summer of 2010 will be fun:
Ok here it goes, assume that all free agents are renounced unless otherwise noted, I am basing these number on a cap of $56M:
Knicks - $34,427,843 (Assumes that Eddie Curry will not opt out and includes 8 minimum roster charges)
Nets - $26,982,260 (Assumes that the Nets waive Keyon Dooling, Humphries picks up his option, includes cap hold for 2 draft picks (#4 & #25) and includes 3 minimum roster charges.
Wizards - $22,309,413 (Assumes that the Wizards Decline TO on Howard, includes cap hold for their draft pick (#5) and 6 minimum roster charges)
Heat - $21,539,985 (Assumes that Wade opts out, cap hold for Wade, they do not waive James Jones, they pick up option on Chalmers, includes cap hold for 2 1st round picks (both #15) & includes 5 minimum roster charges)
Kings - $19,378,345 - (Assumes that Kings pick up options on Landry & Dorsey, includes cap hold for draft pick (#10))
Bulls - $19,337,704 (Assumes cap hold for draft pick (#15) and 5 minimum roster charges)
Clippers - $18,711,935 (Assumes the Clippers guarantee Deandre Jordan's contract, includes cap hold for daft pick (#10) and 4 minimum roster charges)
Thunder - $12,985,629 (Cap hold for 2 draft picks (both #20))
Timberwolves - $12,260,879 (Assumes that the Wolves do not waive Gomes, 3 draft pick holds (2 at #5 & 1 at #25) and 4 minimum roster charges)

Nonetheless 43 points, 13 rb and 15 assist on 15/32 ...pretty good, isn´t he?

If the Bobcats stay at that 8th seed, come playoffs? We have a pretty good chance at seeing the 2007 playoffs debacle taking place in the east. It's just a really bad match up for Cleveland. The cavs have only scored more than 90 once in 4 games against them. In fact they've held them in the 80ish pts twice. This should be fun.

Oh yeah. The Cats won 3 of 4 from the Cavs this year. New acquisition Tyrus Thomas just beasted Jamison. That Bobcats team will give ANY (except maybe Orlando, bad matchup) top 4 team in the East big trouble. Wouldn't be surprised in the least to see the Cats beat the Cavs, Hawks or Celts.

boy, that JR smith, when he's on? can tear the heart out of any team's spirit to remain in a game. He just shoots ridiculous shots and when they fall its hopeless.

Fluid, are you rooting against Portland again? Utah losing would help the Mavs more.

Durant is a pansy, and I won't respect him until he throws away that stupid please-blow-the-whistle move where he windmills his arms under the defender's, flings the ball into space, then fakes a jumpshot motion.

your crazy....if the defender falls for it its not his fault. Durant IMO is the MVP if they continue to play like this

What is there to "fall" for? It's the defender's space because he got there first. Are you saying it's illegal for a defender to have his hands extended outward to the side, and instead he should tie his hands behind his back?
Durant pulled that sh!t in both recent games against Marion. Marion takes a normal defensive stance, Durant swoops in, ducks his arms underneath Marion's, and basically flops around. He has no actual intent to score; he's just hoping the whistle blows. Marion had the same look of disbelief both times.
So when Marion, or whoever the defender is, realizes he's not allowed to play according to the rules, he backs off and now Durant can go crazy.
It just makes a mockery of the game of basketball.

Bah. Portland is no longer a playoff threat and the Jazz are turning it on big time. We are seeing success but with a squad that is adjusting to two new starters. Its going to be hard to catch up to the Jazz, although playing the 5th seed might not be the worst thing ever. I just don't want to be playing the Lakers in LA in the second round. We'll have to play the Lakers sometime in the playoffs but I'd prefer it not be in the second round.

J-Ho left the Wizards game in the first half tonight with a knee injury. Has not returned.

Man Bogut has been a BEAST this year. 24/20/5 blocks tonight. He's first in the NBA in charges drawn, 2nd in blocks. This guy is the 3rd best center in the NBA (not counting Yao, behind D12 and Bynum) imo. 16/10/2/2 top 5 post defense. Very impressed with him this year.

Would be nice if the Hawks could close this one out against the Jazz. They haven't won in Utah since 1993.

I'd put him ahead of Bynum and second only behind Howard. His low post offense and shooting touch is truly remarkable.

Yay Hotlanta! After firing off 4 straight, we're now only a half game behind the Jazz for the 3rd seed.

J-Ho is done for the season with a torn ACL...ouch.
Quote:
Josh Howard done for the season with torn ACL Flip says.

Its hard to imagine the Wizards would have wanted to pick up the team option on him next year anyway, but with a torn ACL and the problems he already has (physically and mentally) I dont think there is a chance he's back.
