This team is freaking horrible as soon as kidd goes out the offense turns to crap. Unless we plan on playing Kidd the whole game everygame then we might as well forget about being any good. Jason Terry is worthless and Stack should not see the floor. I'd much rather see Green than Stack.

People need to take it easy on the negativity. We're still instituting an entire new offensive system. And Artest is not going to score 30 points with ZERO turnovers very often.

My take on the game. We hung with a very good Rockets team for just over 3 quarters. I saw no bench for us. I thought Wright was no good and this is the first game but to me, he sux. I wish we could get a sg. We have needed one for years and it seems it isn't a sg in the nba we can get.

I was very impressed how Kidd, Howard and Dirk played together and when we had a flow and moved. Terry can be good also but only when he plays with those guys that move. So guess what? That is the same team when Terry is sg and we are small on defense. We want Terry but we keep trying to just wish a sg comming to Dallas to be good but we are willing to give up nothing for one. Maybe we have one on the bench but what i saw of our bench, we didn't have much.

Houston has always lacked the heart and killer instinct and Artest is great for this as he plays offense, defense and he loves to win. I hated that our coach left our good guys out to long and let Houston kill us in the 4th quarter because we had no bench. On the other hand, Houston coach played Artest because he knew this was the heart of the team. Houston has to much trouble getting the ball into Ming and if they would learn how to do this, they would be so much better.

We have an excitting team with about 4 or 5 guys but when we pull them out, we ae done. The problem is, we have no pg after Kidd, we have no sg period. So even if Bass, Stack and Terry could do good, no way they can with a second team because it is no one to run the team after Kidd. We stand still.

I saw alot of good things tonight but how Phx must have Nash and log him alot of mins, Dallas must log alot of mins for Kidd, no matter if he scores but he moves the ball. He is the only person on our team that can move it up and down besides Howard and Howard isn't a pg. I sure wish this team had a back up pg and a good sg but i have wished for a sg on this team for years. We played a good team tonight and kept it close.

It's early.

That's the good thing about the NBA. The season doesn't really get going until after the All-Star break. That's when it gets into the nitty-gritty. Most teams now still have 80 or 81 games left. Don't get too excited or too upset over one game this early into the season.

...you're right, but we can't expect Dirk and Josh to go 21-40 and score 64 points together with Kidd close to a triple double every game either. With the exception of these three the rest of the guys collectively played well below average. We need at least some of them to contribute in order to be as good as we want to be.

I agree that every game counts. If this was Memphis I'd be really frustrated. But there's no shame losing to Houson in a good game. Not saying I'm happy, just saying take it easy on the knee jerking.

However, I fully endorse demanding that Stack play fewer minutes.

I forgot about Battier. They are going to be good. That is more solid defense and deeper bench. I am not sure how our bench got so bad. I wish Kidd was very young and could play the whole game because like i said, we have no other pg.

Stack is dwindling on down and a shell of what he was. Looks like it would be a good sg and pg off the street somewhere or cba. It would be interesting to see how we could do filling those two positions and give us a chance.

It ain't early for Stack, I have no reason to search for a positive for his performance, especially based off his performance at the end of last season as well.

That is true mentioning where Josh and Dirk disappeared the 4th q. Josh seems to not play the 4th after you rest him, he is done in 4th. Not sure why. He has been this way for awhile. This is why Artest is so important and even Battier. They are big time 4th q players that play big time defense.

Well maybe we will have better luck next game. I wanted to see Green play. Less of Wright and more of Green.

Maybe in the 4th the rox finally figured out that Josh and Dirk have socred about 80% of the points, and let's see if someone else can score. Yeah, they both missed some makeable shots, but you can expect them to score a combined 80 points. We have to get some points out the 1, 2 and 5 position.
