Blake Griffin with his 27th straight double double with 47 points (19-24 shooting) 14 boards 3 assists, and the Clippers complete a back to back sweep of the Lakers and Pacers.

He's sick. I don't know any other way of putting it.
edit: And he did it with only one dunk the entire game. He hit jumpers, hit bank shots, got putbacks, and was simply too quick for whoever was guarding him and got to the rim at will. Yeah, I just said a PF got to the rim at will. Look at his handles, too. It would not shock me at all to see him playing a point forward role like Hedo later in his career.

Just imagine the Thunder with #1 instead of #3 in 2009...
Westbrook
Thabo
Durant
Griffin
Ibaka
Green offense off the bench
Holy...
Edit: And them not declining the Chandler trade. He sucked/was injuried the past seasons, so the Thunder still have that lottery pick in 2009, but then...championship for sure in the next years.

He doesn't have to be.. All he has to do is call up a couple of fellas, get word to them and they too can play in LA. Or they could all decide to go to the nets together..

What did the Mavs do to God then to lose Caron and six straight?

I wouldn't agree with that at all, the Cavs, Kings, Nets, Timberwolves, Wizards, and Raptors are all in way worse shape than the Clippers right now, in terms of record and talent. Bledsoe, Gordon, Griffin, Aminu, and Deandre Jordan are a great core of young guys to build around. The Clippers could even be a playoff team next year, when you consider that the Suns, Rockets, and Blazers are all on a major decline, the Hornets have been terrible since their hot start this season, and the Nuggets could be garbage if a Melo trade indeed does go down. The Clippers show a lot of promise in my opinion. They're 15-12 after that 1-13 start, and they've won 7 or their last 10.

Well said, I was very very impressed by how dominant of an overall offensive game he had. Jumpers, bankshots, tip-ins, spins, reverse layups, a little bit of everything. It was a very impressive display, he's a matchup nightmare. If he starts hitting those jumpers and bankshots consistently, he could very quickly become a top 10 player in the NBA.

He didn't mean a "bad organization" because of win %.... Their owner does not care about basketball at all and only cares about making money, so I promise you that at least 3 of those 5 (most likely including Griffin) will be gone in the next few years. He does not care about building on a solid foundation.

There are SOOOO many athletic players in the NBA I would have put any of these guys in...
Derrick Rose
Blake Griffin
Serge Ibaka
Javale McGee
Deandre Jordan
Corey Brewer
and the list goes on...I can't wait!

Got it, I misinterpreted in that case then. I was going off of the team's core players and overall potential, and if that group remains intact the Clippers could become relevant very soon. But I see what you're saying, I agree that it's unlikely that core remains intact.

Yeah thanks that's why I said organization not team, I meant the management. They'll find a way to screw up The Clippers, they always do.

Clippers GM Neil Olshey issued a guarantee that rookie sensation Blake Griffin will be on the team for the rest of his career.
Griffin will become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2014, but Olshey told ESPNLosAngeles.com, "I can guarantee you he will only ever be a Clipper. ... When it comes time for him to be a free agent, we won't be losing."

If the Clippers are finally starting to turn it around, which they look like they are, that wouldn't shock me. A ton of young pieces there.

Agreed, the key may be Bledsoe, he is a long ways away from being a legit starting point. Baron is actually playing better of late but he obviously isn't the future there

Gortat has put up 8/6/1/1 on 54% shooting in 23 minutes since getting traded to Phoenix. He's been very good of late in particular. Wish we had him instead of Haywood.

Yes. Never underestimate the importance of how much a player simply enjoys playing the game of basketball. Gortat seems to. Haywood never has...

His alley oop reverse jam was flat out nasty.

With Portland and No's play of late it looks like the 8 playoff teams are pretty much set in the west

Memphis has been playing pretty well lately - I could see them making a darkhorse push for the 8th seed if a Melo trade forces the Nugs to blow it up before the deadline.

Don't they do the same thing every year tho? So inconsistent, and I don't see where the team is better, they are a tiny bit better defensivley but they are still below average there, even with Zebo there rebounding rate isn't great. They are missing something maybe its an elite level defender on the perimeter, idk

Please basketball gods, don't injure him just because he plays for the Clippers.
