Wow. I'm still in shock. Great win. Some will say we shouldn't have struggled against the Bills but while they were 1-3 on paper you have to understand the history between the two. The fans were crazy out there. This is the NFL. A 0-4 team can beat a 4-0 team on any given Sunday. Its just how sports are. At some point the Cowboys were going to have to win a nail biter. I'm glad to see them get it early in the season.

I thought the crowd played a huge factor. I haven't seen an NFL crowd seem to have that much sway since the opening game in NO last year.

This IS the NFL. Who cares whether they were favored or not? No one expected them to win this game in the second half, but somehow they did.

Yea I think what really help build up the excitement for the fans was the fact that Wade was returning and Thurman Thomas getting his HOF ring. And well the Cowboys were in town lol. It wasn't your average 4-0 vs 1-3 team that's for sure.

Ayy I agree 100%. You can complain about the Mavericks not beating the worst team in the league but in the NFL where there's only 16 games to play there aren't any games where you can write an automatic W. Cowboys showed a lot of heart out there tonight. Especially the defense. Its easy to get discouraged when your quarterback has a bad game like tonight.

MVP of the game. And every week i'm gaining more confidence in him. I'm shocked to even think Gramatica was even in competition with him. What I love about his kicks is that they are all right down the middle. He had plenty of leg in both kicks. I think even in the second one he had even more leg in it. And talk about that Ware deflection and Newman interception. Why on earth where the Bills even throwing in that situation? That was an automatic 3. If they just run with Lynch.

He also has great elevation on his kicks. They don't come out low at all.

Youi know what's funny? Both of his 53-yard kicks ended up squarely over the middle support of the uprights. Not even close to missing.

Its crazy. I remember hearing about the Cowboys wanting to draft two kickers in the draft. I wonder who the other guy was and if he's starting. Deon Anderson also had a pretty good game. I don't think he's made it on the stat sheet this season yet.

romo went 21-34, 210 yds, 1 td and 1 pick in the 2nd half....
that wasn't half bad coming off his first half.

Mason Crosby is the other guy. He is ripping it up in Green Bay. But as of now...he's not ripping it up on the scale that Nick Folk is. That guy is the tits!
P.S. I believe the Cowboys actually took Folk when Crosby was still on the board. I may be mistaken, but I think so.

I think there was some buzz about the Cowboys drafting Mason Crosby. He got drafted by Green Bay in the 3rd or 4th round, and is also doing good for himself. But I sure wouldn't trade Folk for anyone right now.

Damn the 3rd or 4th round? He must've been a beast in college. That seems a lil' high on a kicker. Though they are a very important position on the field.

Nvm, think I was wrong on the round. Apparently it was the 6th round according to his player page:

Crosby set all kinds of distance records. He played at Colorado, but he also has the record for longest FG at sea level, at 58 yards.
Folk actually wasn't all that good in college. I don't care, though!

So can anyone see the headlines tomorrow -
"Cowboys win, thanks to a Folk Hero!"
Credit to Norm on that one.

No accreditation to norm.

The Cowboys scored nine points in the final 20 seconds Monday night, with Nick Folk's 53-yard field goal as time expired giving them an improbable 25-24 win over the Buffalo Bills. Tony Romo threw five interceptions in the game, two of which were returned for touchdowns.

What the hell did I watch??? I'm completely baffled!
We lost this game - lost it bad... The same team that's been beating the Cowboys for the last decade just about did it again tonight (the Cowboys, themselves)...
So how the hell did we win this again?
Every fluke that could have occurred in the last 20 seconds did (and most of it went against us), but somehow we won...
The defense bailed Romo out of this one BIG TIME... According to my calculations, the final score should have been 41-17, Buffalo... 2 huge defensive stands and an idiot call by an idiot coach of an idiot team to go for the 1st down instead of the easy field goal that would have put Buffalo up 10-0 in the first quarter completely gave Romo the opportunity to show that his clutch skills could out-do the worst game of his career (49.9 QB rating - ouch!)
This might be one of the ugliest wins I've seen in a loooong time, but I'd say that Wade Phillips finally has his own version of the Music City Miracle... The Niagara Fall? (I coined it first!)

See, now that was fun. As much as I enjoy blowing crappy teams out, winning a squeaker like that is way more enjoyable, and memorable. Our eventual upset of the Patriots will probably be pretty close, too - so that will be fun.
Also, how much must the city of Buffalo hate Dallas after the 2 Super Bowls and the Stanley Cup and now this Monday Night heartbreaker? I mean, the Sabres and the Bills are their only two teams, right? Ouch.

On another note: I think all the Romo contract talk will finally ease up until the end of the season... If he's proved anything, it's that he's still a bit unpredictable/inconsistent...
I think the same thing happened to him tonight that happened during our nasty slide at the end of last season - Romo watched too much Sports Center and started to believe in the hype... I could see it every time he tried to force a pass or create a big play that just wasn't going to happen... Thankfully, he snapped out of it just in time to win the game...
On the other hand, if Nick Folk shows up at Jerry's desk tomorrow morning demanding a raise, I say PAY THE MAN! The Cowboys haven't had a kicker that consistent in a long time (I don't care how high Vanderjagt rates himself!)
GO 'BOYS!!!
