Would bynum really be such a bad option? Then at least we could still be in the Lebron sweepstakes next year.

Bynum would be awful. Bum knee, lazy, everybody hates him, classless, but talented. NO!!!
He is just going to eat up cap and be hurt for the rest of his career. The guy has NEVER been healthy and all his knee does is get worse.

Insert Howard in for Bynum and back in for knee. How is it any different?
At least Bynum wouldn't cost as much.

We're meeting with Howard on Tuesday. Is it a good thing or bad thing we are meeting with him after Houston?

It's much different, Howard has not had injury issues anywhere close to Bynum.
Also, Bynum is going to get most likely a max deal. I absolutely despise that classless fool. He is one of the most worthless loads of talent I have seen in a long time.

We got the hammer.
I don't think it makes a huge difference though.

Are you really this stupid or just dense? He is a dominant rebounder, scorer, and shot blocker when he is on the floor. 19/12/2 is worthless? Lol get a clue

I don't think either Bynum or Howard are worthless. I would want either one of them.

I never denied his talent, notice in both posts I pointed out that he was talented. I also implied he would probably get a max deal. He's still a player I want nothing to do with.
Locker room cancer.

I've heard people say the same thing about Howard. I have faith that Rick and Dirk can reign in their personalities.

A locker room cancer that has won multiple titles? Yeah that makes sense. And the chances he gets the max are slim now.

I like Dallas meeting Dwight after Houston. I hope that the Lakers have their day on Monday, so that Mark is the last guy in the room.

Howard is no bum like Bynum. At least he has some class. Howard is a happy-go-lucky guy that has switched teams a couple times so he's got the Lebron hate type label of hopping around.

Still want nothing to do with the guy. I could care less about his titles. He's no leader, he was just a very good player on a team with Kobe and Pau.

I'm stating my opinion, you don't have to agree with it. I really don't care. I don't like Andrew Bynum and I certainly do not want him in a Mavericks uniform. Obviously you wouldn't mind him playing for Dallas. I get that, now get over it. My opinion is not going to change.

Where'd you get that? I read the Houston folks are flying out to LA to meet with him first.

Between rumors that he was going to meet with them in Houston late tomorrow night and then the list of all the visits that he will have in LA is missing Houston.
It's why I asked. If both of those rumors are true, he'll start his discussion with Houston tomorrow night at 12:01 possibly in Houston.

Adrian WojnarowskiVerified account @WojYahooNBA
Rockets will get first free agency crack at Dwight Howard with meeting Sunday in LA, shortly past 9 PM PST, league sources tell Y! Sports.

Only via SnT with a third team involved to solve for the BYC problem.

That list was accompanied explicitly by the caveat that Sam Amick didn't know which day he was meeting with Houston in LA. It wasn't an implication that he's meeting with them elsewhere.
Quote:
Sam Amick @sam_amick 3m
As has been reported, being told Houston visit with Dwight Howard is 9 pm Pacific tomorrow in LA at start of free agency (July 1 EST)
Sam Amick @sam_amick 46m
Timing of Houston visit with Dwight Howard unclear on my end, though ESPN has indicated Monday.

OK? I read the tweet reposted on DM.com and processed with some rumors around DM.com and asked it as a question. I'm not sure why you are lecturing me.

I'm not sure why you think I"m lecturing you. I answered your question and then corrected your misimpression based on incomplete info. Not a lecture.

If the Mavs were to put Nick Calathes on the roster, how much would they have to pay him?

I actually believe there is no front-runner. That's why you listen to everyone's pitches.
Ultimately, this is what Cuban wanted. He believed that if he got in the room with a guy he wanted, and he had a near level playing field, he would come out on top. The Lakers have the hammer of L.A. and 30 million more dollars, but I think the Mavs have a solid chance.

Others were talking about Bynum, and I have to admit being torn on him.
On one hand, I really don't like the guy much. He just seems odd. I hated the way he acted in that series against the Mavs (although you could make a case that him being frustrated by a sweep is actually a good thing). I also worry about his health, obviously. I mean, I don't remember seeing many 7'3, 275 pound guys who got better after knee troubles.
But on the other hand, this is a guy who, other than Dwight, was the best center in the world a couple of years ago. He has a huge presence on both ends of the floor, and he is one of the few guys who has the potential to change your franchise, albeit not necessarily for the better (ask Philly).
In the end, if the team strikes out on the stars, then I would be very tempted to offer Bynum a contract that allowed my to get out of it after a year if he wasn't the same guy. He is just too tempting, if healthy.
