Pull the starters. This game is over. Maybe this series is over too.
The Mavs have thrown it all away.
Should have known better against the Spurs. Shoulda known.
We're done for.

OK WTF Bowen.
Does one normally stick one's* knee out like that when one lands?

Yup, and then JJB forgot he was JJB. Basically, nobody stepped up for the Mavericks while the Spurs stepped up the defense.
Dirk has yet to look comfortable in this series. He's just not getting any good looks.

Carlisle's coaching has been horrible tonight. Really horrible. Pop has made him look like a chump.
Doesn't help that the team has no energy (except for Kidd), but Carlisle needs to get a lot of the blame. He's made no adjustments.
And when is Jason Terry going to play in this series?

They are playing some pretty good defense imo. They are protecting the rim quite a bit...we aren't rebounding worth of flip(which is a part of defense) and they are really scrapping for loose balls.
Much more hustle from the spurts...

Finally got Dirk out. He'd better not be back. Now get Josh out before he gets hurt more.

no matter what happens, at least NJ doesn't get a lottery pick from the Kidd trade.

Bass has also reverted back to his low-energy non-defensive self. RC needs to put hollins in there because bass isn't giving him much.

I think he's had some decent looks...it's definitely a much lower frequency between good looks.

Dirk can't shoot that well tonight. But 11 shots through 3 quarters is not going to cut it when you are down by only 11 at halftime.
Carlisle is making Barea the focal point of the offense and it is detrimental to the team.

They get next year's pick - which is unprotected - not this year's.

Dirk was shooting fine early on, but RC only went to him every 6 plays or so. How can you have any rhythm when the offense isn't running through you? Like you said, RC inanely decided to run the O through JJB, who is an absolute scrub when teams actually guard him, and he's too weak a passer to get it to anyone or to dumb to dump it off to Dirk.

There's a reason Carlisle is less than .500 in the playoffs.

The team is playing like crap. The entire team. The coach is making poor decisions.
But in the end, the Spurs are playing harder and better, and Pop made the better adjustment. That's what happens when a team is fighting to not fall behind 0-2 heading on the road in the playofs.
This was to be expected, although not quite to this level of sucktitude.
