Does Thybulle still have anything left? People talk up his defense, but he only plays 12 mpg.

Isn't Green Thybulle with offense?
Thybulle is a far better defender because of his experience (and being half-crazy), but I honestly prefer Green. I guess he's decent as a backup in case Green gets injured.
He definitely does not address our massive problem at 4/5 (defending bigs, rebounding). He's a 2/3 defender.

He's not much of an offensive threat in halfcourt but defensively the dude is one of the best in the league.
I like him because he can defend 1-3 and the mavs still don't defend quick PG's that good
Also he's your backup behind Green and Bullock in case Green goes jittery in the playoffs again
They got to have multiple wing defenders to throw at guys like Booker, KD, KL, PG, Ingram, McCollum, Curry and Wiggins
His trade value is really low and Philly needs a backup C
McGee for Thybuile works straight up with a 2nd round pick going to Philly

Kyrie Irving and the Phoenix Suns had mutual interest before he was eventually dealt to the Dallas Mavericks. Irving appears to be happy joining the Mavericks, but he will be a free agent this offseason. With Kevin Durant joining the Suns via trade, the interest from Irving and Phoenix could be renewed. ?If you think this is over, it ain?t over,? said Brian Windhorst. ?Kyrie really was interested in being in Phoenix, so just start thinking about that.? The Suns will be over the salary cap in the 2023 offseason, so they would need the participation of the Mavericks with a sign-and-trade in order to acquire Irving. ? via YouTube
Certainly Cuban wouldn?t entertain a S&T with PHX. There?s not much left on their roster at this point unless he really wants Ayton.

Obviously there's a lot of contingencies, but my general feeling is don't f around with Kyrie this offseason. Give him whatever he wants to stay. Can't lose that asset.

ESPN doesn't want any stars in mid markets. It's been their MO since their existence.

Would Nets say no to redirecting Crowder and Cam Johnson (who is a RFA in line for a payday) to us for Wood and Hardy? Do we say no? Do Suns say no?

I feel like Cuban won?t move Hardy for anything short of another star player, but what do I know.

As we shouldn't with the risk of Irving leaving.

The Lakers are trading Thomas Bryant to the Nuggets for Davon Reed and three second-round picks, sources tell ESPN.

Keep forgetting Justin Jackson is still collecting a paycheck. Must be really good at waving a towel.

He's another guy I mentioned earlier in the week that I didn't think his value in return back was high
I thought him and Green ould be a fantastic tandem on the wings next to Luka moving forward.
Size wise he can definitely matchup with guys like MPJ, Wiggins, Ingram, Booker, KD and Edwards
I'm afraid Cuban might be satisfied with just Kyrie in order to quite down the noise he heard all year about making a trade
Fucking Blazers just got Thybuile for nothing

What I don't get is why we are seen as small/mid market and the Suns are the darlings
1) NY
2) LA
3) Chicago
4) Philly
5) Dallas
Dallas is not a small market team

We know that. ESPN doesn't.
Man, Sixers getting Jaden McDaniels for Thybulle is a fleece.

I know there will be some buyout candidates and all, but I am nervous we are done.
Only way I can see this team being really competitive:
Wood plays some of his best ball and shakes off the injury cobwebs quickly
Morris is a solid contributor at PF
Kleber and Powell stay healthy.
McGee scratches the rotation
That's literally the thinnest line in the world and unlikely to all line up.

Still some time but I'm getting nervous. I was worried after seeing Cuban's interview following Kyrie trade that we were done unless something fell in our lap.

I mean, I personally don't want to trade Wood.
Love to trade Tim, but let's be real about doing that....

After last nights bombshell, I changed my mind on trading Wood. Need a defensive big, and I dont think Mcgee and Maxi are enough

Where is this poor defensive Wood people talk about? He is our best shot blocker and is rarely out of position.
Feel he is just adjusting back from his injury right now. Not gonna sweat it.

I forgot where I read it or which pod it may have been from but someone had said that front offices view Wood as a Bobby Portis player. Which if that's true that explains Mavs reluctance to do more than what has been reported in extension talks(portis is 4/48m). So i guess thats good for off season retention if we dont trade him now but if teams view him as that and we overpay like we did powell and thj he's never getting moved in future.
