I don't think the eagles suck. I just think they are inconsistent and wildly unpredictable. They could possibly beat us at the end of the season.

I hate that the Saints don't have any defense. Did they get Will Smith and McCallister back from that whole suspension fiasco?

I haven't seen anything on this...granted, I didn't look very hard, but oh well.
http://www.star-telegram.com/332/story/1080046.html
BY RICK HERRIN
Jones believed Barber’s dislocated right pinkie toe was an injury that he could have played with against Pittsburgh. Before the team boarded for its flight to Pittsburgh on Saturday, Jones was stunned Barber did not make the trip.
After not practicing all week and with an additional sore calf, Barber felt he couldn’t play. Jones said Barber could have taped and braced the toe well enough to allow him to play.
"He can play with that injured toe," Jones said. "He can play with the soreness and a combination of those things. I see nothing that led us to believe he couldn’t."
What is the pulse based on those comments?

Looks like Saints got this. A Cowbosy win today will be HUGE. And I hate to look further to next week but Cowboys and Giants. Wow. Damn I hope we get this Steelers game. Plus a Bucc's loss tommorow would be the best week of the season for the Cowboys lol.

Well that's pretty good I suppose. Atlanta shouldn't be in the playoffs because they can't play defense anyway. Of course that won't stop the Cardinals from being the playoffs, but what are you gonna do.

So are Cowboys ahead of the Falcons for a wild card spot even with a loss today? We have the better conference record.

I watched all of that game, didn't see any of the Fox game. Like I mentioned, the Packers showed zero sense of urgency to get a win today. They got some lucky breaks from 4 turnovers from Houston, and you still can't win. Rodgers looked very inconsistent today, Texans got a decent amount of pressure as well. They just couldn't get anything really rolling offensively and the D got gashed on a ton of big plays.

If Atlanta can improve their defense and some little things in the off-season, they could be real good next season I would think.

NFC East is clinched. Will the G-Men rest their guys?
Big game at Texas Stadium next weekend.

They might rest two of them, but b/c they got hurt.
Jacobs and Ross might sit, but it's all in the air right now.
I dunno, Coughlin seems like a guy that if he will do it...it won't be til the last game. I wouldn't count on anyone other than those 2 guys I mentioned above potentially sitting out or resting.

I don't think Coughlin will rest any players unless they were already questionable. If I were the Giants, this would be a huge oppurtunity to kill off your biggest threat now, rather than face them later.

Redskins loss is pretty huge for us. Assuming TB can beat the Falcons next week, the Cowboys completely control their own destiny.

The Boys really do...but the way that Ravens defense was playing at times is very scary. It doesn't get a whole lot easier in terms of the opponent. Flaco definitely loves that play action pass.
I wouldn't assume TB can beat Atlanta, especially since the game is in Atlanta. Time might be catching up on the inexperienced Falcons, but I'm not sure if it's there yet.
Unless they're hurt, the Giants will play their main guys for at least two more weeks.

So Carolina gets the win.
TB plays @ Falcons next week. What are the odds that the Bucs lose two in a row? I don't know. Seems like Atlanta is pretty much gonna be on the outside looking in from this point forward.
The Panthers will get at least 1 more win, likely 2. TB will definitely get to 10, maybe 11.
The Falcons play the Bucs, but then play the Vikings (and some of their D is about to get suspended, right?) and the Rams...so they could get to 10 wins, maybe. But it likely won't matter bc of tie breakers.
What a fun division that turned out to be.

Yeah, I thought that would be a lame division...not NFC West lame, but pretty bad. Atlanta really helped up the value of that one. The Commish feels pretty certain that they just delayed the inevitable by one week on the suspensions. The Williams Wall will eventually come down and if they get it to the playoffs, it'll hurt them there as well.

I'm not sure how good. The Bucc's still have a better record than us. They'd have to go what? 2-1 from here on out and the Boys would have to go 3-0?

Yeah, I think that was the general assumption on board: The Boys need to win out. 2-1 is way too risky of a proposition for this team in the Wild Card race. 2-1 is likely for the Bucs, it really just depends which Chargers team they face in 2 weeks.

we have clinched the tiebreaker over the Bucs since we beat them. So if we finished tied with them, we at least get the nod there. So any loss they take is good.
however, next week is Bucs @ Falcons. I wish both teams could lose. That's another big game.

I think the Cowboys should plan for a @ Cardinals game. Which should be easy considering how well the Dallas defense is playing now, and how poorly the Cardinal defense is.

If the Cardinals want any chance to win, they better work their tails off on trying to figure out how to build a make-shift run game. That's their project heading into the playoffs. They need some kind of balance or they're wasting a down when they try to run.
