34 year old big man, probably average 15-20 minutes a night. Hopefully he can deter those paint runs that Powell couldn't erase.

Yea, Wood can easily play the stretch 4 and thrive.
Luka
???
DFS
Wood
McGee
I would think the 2 would come down to Bullock or THJ. I think having Dinwiddie run the 2nd unit is too valuable, even if we get Dragic. I could envision a solid camp for THJ leaving Bullock to better bolster the defense of the 2nd unit as well.
The Mavs FO is also not done, not by a long shot. Getting McGee signals one of Powell or Maxi is gone, and with Powell being pretty much redundant and an expiring, I'm guessing he's as good as gone.

I need Powell and either thj/Bertrans gone in a package. Bullock needs start for d. Some games Javel starts center and woods play 4. Other games woods center and go small

Pretty sure starting next to Wood. Wood can cover quicker players and shoot threes, so it shouldn't be a spacing issue.

I mean, McGee isn't great, but we needed another big more than anything else IMO. And no Powell starting is always a big win.

Our defense and rebounding is now better with Wood and McGee. Need ball bouncers who can score some now.

Tommy Beer: Brian Windhorst reports, on ESPN?s Free Agency special, that Kyrie Irving is ?focused? on joining the Lakers, adding, ?Kyrie to the Lakers is very much back alive.? ? via Twitter TommyBeer
With what? They're not trading AD or Lebron, Nets don't want Westbrook, they have no picks.

The Mavericks declined to offer Brunson a contract extension before the season, then pitched a $106 million deal, according to a source. But they never got another chance. Word of Brunson?s firm commitment to the Knicks leaked about an hour before free agency started, backing up the sentiment from earlier this week that this partnership was fait accompli. ? via Stefan Bondy @ New York Daily News
Marc Stein: As for Jalen Brunson ? sources briefed on Dallas? scheduled NYC meeting today say: *Meeting canceled by Brunson?s representatives *Dallas told money not be a deciding factor because of Brunson?s determination to sign with Knicks *Mavs did not formally present an offer today ? via Twitter TheSteinLine

True, not sure why he didn't just come out and say that. Brunson focused on joining Knicks......case closed.

I mean people are going to want to look to vilify someone here so it will probably be Brunson but the Mavs have no one to blame but themselves....

Committing to a team an hour before free agency is tampering, plain and simple. I know all teams do it, but Knicks are caught red handed here.

No shit. The league really needs to do something here.
Either actually enforce the rules, or better yet, get rid of the waiting period. Seriously, you can apparently negotiate trades with other teams while the playoffs are still happening, why can you not negotiate with free agents?

Free agent guard Jalen Brunson has agreed to a four-year, $104 million deal with the New York Knicks, his agents Aaron Mintz and Sam Rose of @CAA_Basketball tell ESPN. The deal includes a player option on the final season.

Losing Brunson for nothing sucks but I'd rather do that then pay him 26m a year, especially if we have Dinwiddie and I rly like Hardy's future upside for down the road.

The problem is, Hardy, Green, and Dragic are all unknowns. BEST CASE SCENARIO, all those guys work out for us, then yeah, we're good. But we have literally no idea what any of them will be next year. Dragic isn't even a Maverick yet, so let's tap the breaks.
