I can totally envision the Star Wars Intro combined with that incredibly loud crowd help them embrace their villains-image on the road. That would be horrible indeed.
Btw, I love the challenges the crowd is facing to keep their constant James-booing intact, like when they stopped to boo on an (obvious) call for Lebron on a shooting foul, so they could breathe enough to boo him while shooting his FT's. Or being alert enough to boo him shortly on touch passes and so on.

Both teams suck. Just the fact that the Heat have a couple stars that can embarrass the Cavs is the only reason they're winning.
And by a couple, I mean Queen James and D-Whistle.
Bosh is still way overrated to me.

Poor Cleveland. This makes the second time in the last five months that Lebron has ripped Cleveland's heart out on national television.

Well, I guess Cavs fans can take solace in the fact that Lebron is balding...that's something right?

This is just cruel. Only thing keeping Lebron from 50 tonight is the fact that he won't play the 4th quarter.

I think its trying to say that Carmelo takes every shot. He absolutely refuses to pass to other players. Sounds accurate to me.

My two favorite LeBron postgame interview gems from last night:
Quote:
On being booed and jeered by Cavs fans: "It's nothing personal. ... They came out to support their team. ... To try to get anybody---myself or any of our guys---unfocused."
|
That's exactly right, LeBron. Just your run-of-the-mill booing by the opposing team's fans. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Quote:
"I'll just continue the greatness for myself here in Miami."
|
LeBron at the microphone is a comedy of errors.

Just wondering, what's wrong with the quoted statement?
Not trying to defend him (who would these days anyway?!), but I think he could have done worse in the postgame interviews and didn't add fuel to the fire by basically ignoring the fan's unflattering reactions. Right now, LeBron can't do anything right and is everyone's punching bag, so I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt in this particular instance. Expecting the average NBA player to handle those kinds of situations perfectly might just be a little optimistic.
That said, LeBron's still a bonafide jerk.

Maybe Gibson's smiles were misleading...
LeBron James upsets former teammate
CLEVELAND -- LeBron James may have ruined another friendship back in Ohio.
Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson didn't appreciate some of James' words and actions on Thursday during the Miami Heat star's heated homecoming to Cleveland. James, who scored 38 points in the Heat's 118-90 win, was subjected to almost constant booing, taunts and profanity.
According to Gibson, James dished out a little of his own.
"Some things went on last night," Gibson said, "that I didn't like."
James engaged in some trash talk with Cleveland's bench, jawing at some coaches and former teammates. After making a tough baseline jumper while scoring 24 points in the third quarter, James spun just in front of Cleveland's players and mouthed something in their direction. Later, he and a smiling Gibson exchanged words.
Gibson also took issue with comments that it appeared the Cavaliers were acting too outwardly friendly toward James, who played seven seasons in Cleveland. Center Anderson Varejao hugged James as the teams lined up for tipoff and a few players shook hands or bumped fists with the two-time defending league MVP.
"I've heard that, and that kind of rubs me the wrong way," Gibson said. "We all know LeBron and we all know that he enjoys being in front of the camera. To say we were fraternizing and being friendly ... nobody knows what was said and the things that were said probably could not be repeated right now. We wanted to win the game and those guys brought it to us."
The Cavaliers are now 7-11 without James.
"I think people, from the outside looking in, might say we were laughing and joking with him, but if you could hear the things that were said, you would know that wasn't the case," Gibson said. "There was nothing friendly about the conversation we had."
Gibson said the evening soured his relationship with James, his teammate for four years. Gibson was also upset by the Cavaliers' awful play in front of their rowdy fans, who had waited five months to vent at James for the way he announced his decision to leave.
"I didn't like the way we performed," he said.

My guess is that it wasn't very good to begin with. All the drama of the situation aside, you gotta know your place in the pecking order.
