ThunderFan shouldn't be the person to have posted the most in a GDT... I understand that people are talking to you, but could you cut down on trying to bait people... I'd appreciate it if you didn't respond to this.

Hey, its a game day thread. I'm just giving my opinion of Game 4 and the big matchup issue that has presented itself in games 1-3 with Perkins. Perkins is great, but not against Chandler. I'm not trying to bait anyone into anything. I don't get the problem really.
I have been critical of some of the whining on here about the refs, but I have not one time made a personal attack on anyone here or made any negative or distasteful comments about the Dallas Mavs.

Oh I don't know. He was dang good against Nene, for the most part. Nene and Gasol both would've ripped Krstic a new one. I hope he's really at 65-70% as people are saying because he has a hard time dunking the ball right now, it seems. He just can't hang with Chandler. Perkins is way stronger than Chandler, and Chandler is way more athletic. The edge in athleticism seems to be winning out here.

So references to Collison being the gay lover of all refs and Mauer having a shrine to KD is a serious discussion of matchup issues? Obvious troll is more obvious by the second. Please quit trying to play the martyr card.

First things first: Go Mavs!
I'm actually pretty confident. Dirk and Jet had less-than-spectacular performances on the offensive end in Game 3 and the officiating probably couldn't have been worse. I wouldn't be surprised to see all or some of that change in Game 4. If we come out with the same mindset as last time and don't have to overcome the same hurdles as in Game 3, we'll be in a good position to be successful. OKC will try to bring its A-game, though.

Mavericks 113
Supersonics 90
Dirk: 7 pts, 0 rebs, 17 asts
Jet: 4 pts, 0 asts, 14 steals
Barea: 5 pts, 27 rebs (10 oReb), 9asts
Tyson: 61 pts, 2 rebs, 4 asts
Cardinal: 41 pts.
Ray Allen: 90 pts (30-30 pts) 49 TOs
Rashard Lewis: 0 pts, 113 rebs, 2 asts
Gary Payton: 30 asts, 0-33 fts, 40 rebs
So we overcome some of the greatest performances in NBA history to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the series going back to Dallas.

Just a little humor, that's all. It's nothing to get worked up over. I suggest you ignore me if you can't handle a little sarcasm. I'm not trying to start arguments with anyone.

Nine teams in Conference Finals history have had homecourt advantage and WG1, LG2 and WG3. They have gone on to win 88.9% of their series (8-1 record).

I'll tell you, having this every-other-day thing sure helps with the wait times. I get a night to myself and then it's right back on the saddle. That could probably be made to sound dirty.
I'm ready. Let's do this. Only thing I'm worried about is the last-minute GDT sub.

I just checked, and the Thunder don't even stand a chance. Poor Thunder.

1) I'm lazy
2) Mavs game tonight
3) My boss is out sick today.

I'll be there tonight sitting up in the nosebleeds. The biggest decision for me: Should I wear my Dirk or Marion shirt? 1-1 this series with Dirk on, 1-0 with the Marion.
Thoughts?

If the discrepancy is that bad it will be because the action is really fast and refs aren't perfect....according to Thunderfan

a little fluff to read....
Quote:
The Mavericks have the notion that basketball is a team game, not a collection of televised highlights, and that's why my lasting image of Game 3 was something that happened late in the third quarter during a break in the action. While officials watched a courtside TV monitor to see if Kidd should be shooting two free throws or three, Kidd gathered his team in an impromptu huddle at midcourt. All five Mavericks surrounded him, discussing strategy.
Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City players formed five islands. They didn't stand together. They didn't talk. They didn't even look at each other. This wasn't about chemistry -- this was about basketball IQ.
Dallas has it. Oklahoma City does not.
Yes, Kevin Durant is coming soon to a poster near you. But the Mavericks are more than likely going to the NBA Finals. Smart can be sexy, too.
