Does it ever fail that when we blow a layup, the other teams goes right down and nails a three?

So WCS got benched after the fast break. Even if he didn’t say anything to the ref he wouldn’t have made it to half court before the layup

WCS plays like its a casual pick up game at the rec. There are dudes out here going all out trying to earn millions...WCS over here looking like Eeyore.
Dude has the exact long body and decently quick feet that clubs yearn for...but dude doesnt seem interested in treating the game likes its a competition.

I don't think he was benched they have been rotating that way all night. KP has been coming back in towards the end of each qtr all night.
I'm guessing at around 8 minutes he'll comeback in again to relieve KP that's how they did in the 1st 3 qtr's.
I just hope Rick trust Green more especially if THJ continues to shoot poor. Green can score by moving off the ball

Hmmm he has two blocks tonight both coming on 3 point shots that takes hustle to close out and block shots on 3 pointer right?
Could he be more emotionally sure
But I see him hustling all the time he's just a quiet player.

Team looked much better prepared for the defensive strategy tonight
Indiana tried to somewhat copy Toronto but the Mavs moved much better off the ball tonight

Yeah they finally both played well in the same game.
Usually it's one or the other that plays well
Also I want to see Green close out the game he looked really good tonight

Hes alright on defense. Not aggressive on boards and clumsy with ball in his hands. Im a little too hard on him...i just want to see him be aggressive...but I dont think he is that type of person.
I wont judge him anymore until i see what he can do in playoff atmosphere. Something tells me WCS will look a lot better when Mavs are playing 100%

I like it Rick closed the game with both two 7'0 on the floor in a zone defense contesting everything at the rim

WCS does have trouble yamming sometimes. But then hustled back and went straight up for the stop at the rim. The dude hustles even when it looks like he’s not.

He reminds me of Marquise Daniels
Daniels was very lethargic looking but he always produced. Really good defender back when Avery was coaching the team.
I'd love for him to have that nastiness like Tyson Chandler but he's just not that type of dude.

Yeah he might not be a every game starter but he's played well enough IMO to be apart of the nightly rotation.
To me that means he should play around 14-16 MPG every night.
If the Mavs end up with a C/PF combination of KP/Kleber and WCS/Johnson off the bench I can live with that because that is outstanding depth.
Probably the best group they have had at one time since Tyson, Haywood, Marion and Dirk manned that C/PF tandems.

Yea. Willie is good dude. IMO You gotta stick with these guys to get them up to their potential.

I know Richardson is back in Dallas according to his Instagram. Haven’t seen much from the others. Sure seems like they have been out for a long time.

It’s only been 10 days
That’s enough for guys to be tested negative, but if they had it, it’s like 10 days of sick minimum and then another 7-10 days of testing negative.
Brunson didn’t even have it and he had to test negative every day for a week.

I wonder how long this trend will continue because the Mavs moved for the most part pretty good tonight without the ball.
The Pacers ran a Box-and-one defense for good chunks of the third period to gunk up the Dallas ball movement and it worked in large spurts. The Mavericks played what can be best described as a disjointed game in the frame. Indiana managed to take a late lead finally, after trailing most of the game, but the Mavericks ended the quarter up 93-92.

Willie was presented the defender of the night title belt by Rick in the locker room. I think Rick has come around on him haha.
Check Mavs Instagram

Really strong. Let's just hope KP can stay healthy. Hopefully Kleber has had a light case of Covid.
