I live in OKC, and, whatever Bennett says, it's always been clear he wanted to move the team to his home town. That said, why didn't some Seattle group try to buy the team; why didn't Schultz et all sell to someone else for less to keep them in Seattle. It's all a business. Lakers, Jazz, Grizz, and Hornets are amongst the many relocated teams, and I can't see how anyone would be surprised or shocked that the league allows (or even encourages) such things.

I can't believe I'm living in a world where Oklahoma has a professional sports team...

Well, by the definition, the Sooners of the 80's certainly were not amateurs...

I'm really interested to see how the division alignment will be/change.

I'm wondering, since they won't be the Sonics anymore and they're in a new city, are they considered an expansion team? Wonder what their name/mascot will be.

Well the alignment won't change for this season.

The NHL schedule comes out in 2 weeks, and they make that with heavy, heavy input from the NBA.

Okies, Roughriders, Hobo's, Roustabouts, Dust-Bowlers, or Prospectors would all be suitable options...

Interviewer: Kevin, how do you like being down south again, playing for the newly named Oklahoma North of Goodness? Does that make you a Goodness?

KD: I think officially, I'm a North of Goodness now, with no modifier. If I can't be back in Texas, I guess this is kinda close - in a way. But in a lot of ways, I might as well still be in Seattle. "North of Goodness" really is the most accurate team name in the NBA. At least until the Brooklyn Beyonces get their arena completed.

Sucks for the people in Seattle, but also for all those who ride the ferry over for the games from Vancouver.

Word on the street is, Kevin Durant and company are pretty pissed at the move.

I would be, too. Seriously, from Seattle to Oklahoma City. Just think about it...

Once they finally get to Oklahoma City, Durant will say how great the town is. But for now, during the leaving process, he'll state how unfair it was for Seattle.

Not entirely. No offense, but OKC is like Memphis. There is nothing exciting about OKC. Boring landscape, small market, etc. Durant was threatened by Stern and Bennett, so now he has completely changed his tune on OKC.

NBA is making another big mistake. Shame, shame, shame. The NFL is running all over them.
