Players sticking out their lower jaw forward and not realizing this makes them look like a retarded caveman.

When NBA players kiss or bite each other....In my opinion one player's mouth should never touch any body part of another. But maybe that's just me.

the Lakers getting the win against the Bucks because the refs are on Kobe's jock. that call was Atrocious. epitomizes what's worst about the NBA. coddling spoiled stars who wear their sense of entitlement like a badge. just let the D-Wades and Kobes and Lebrons carry a whistle and call their own fouls. Lebron is amazing but he(and Pierce) barrel into defenders chests' like Mack Strong on a lead block. it's hard to beat these teams in the 4th quarter when the deck is so stacked in their favor.

Jet's shooting as of late has been annoying, his poor shooting may be caused by one of these two things imo: 1) He's in a slump, because he is being used a little differently because of the return of Josh.
2) Age is catching up to him.
I think most likely, it's number 1. We'll see as the season goes on if he can recover his shooting touch...

Things that annoy me: People who draw (or even suggest) overly broad conclusions like "age has caught up with a player" from a sample size that is entirely too small.

I don't mind poor shooting by a streak shooter but what really annoys me is (and this goes for Jet, JH and Gooden) the poor decision-making sometimes. A good example last night was when Marion was on the block being defended by a guard and Jet completely ignored him, kept dribbling and took a bad shot. Howard also has the propensity to jack up low-percentage shots and Gooden just goes brain-dead from time to time.

I read the post. You said you thought it was likely the other option. I got it. I'm saying that even presenting it as an option that "age has caught up with a player" on the basis of 1/3 of a season is completely inane. The fact that you even included it in your post troubles me.
Careful starting a post with the word "fail"--it makes you sound kinda foolish when you're wrong.

1. Whenever an offensive player throws his arms into a defender's arms to try and draw a foul (Tim Duncan-style).
2. Leaning into an airborne defender (Kidd-style)
3. Flopping.
4. Any other way the Spurs try to manipulate the refs.
I'm not saying these things don't work, but it really kills whatever integrity is left in this game.

How about the 10 biggest things that annoy me about the NBA.
1. Not being able to distinguish what is an offensive charge, or a defensive block. This not just varies by the officiating, it varies qtr to qtr by the officiating.
2. Traveling - too many shades of grey here in the NBA game.
3. Hand checking - why are the calls so inconsistent as to what is allowed.
4. Body contact - why can some guy get slammed and it be a block and others if the jersey gets close then it is a foul called.
5. Massive player celebrations before the 4th qtr. Games just change to fast to be celebrating anything until it gets to crunch time.
6. Coaches who spend all their time trying to Politic for calls with the officials.
7. Fining players/coaches for speaking their minds. IMO, They should not be fined for pointing out that officials screwed up - especially when everyone knows that they did. If they want them to talk to the media, then at least let them be honest.
8. SuperStar calls (ie the one Kobe got against Mil and Bogut)
9. The fact that the NBA would rather promote individuals play instead of promoting team play.
10. The flagrant fouls rules and inconsistent use thereof.

You know what annoys me?
Stupid NBATV/NBA League Pass retransmissions that do not show replays being shown by the real broadcast.

Ref conferences that last 9 minutes. Lopsided technicals against one team and not the other.

LOL.
A. The refs were awful all game.
B. That was clearly a blocking foul. Landry was moving, didn't have position, and crowded Dirk's air space.

I just re-looked at it many times. It could have been called a charge...The only defense was it looked like right at the last second landry leaned forward into the path...you can only see it from the behind the player angle.
He leans up and to the right just a little bit, if he hadn't no contact would have been made.
I wouldn't have bitched too much about that play either way.

Now I bet Landry will use a mouthpiece.
Nevermind, he WAS using a mouthpiece.
Last time Dirk lost teeth during a game, do you know what his reaction was? He came back to the game after a few minutes and proceeded to keep scoring on chumps. Landry is a Wuss!

cool, a mavs fan with a level head. i can somewhat agree with you... as i think everything should be called a block once the player left his feet, not allowing others to slide in/underneath for a charge.
