I agree that we need to get their bigs in foul trouble as soon as possible. The less aggressive they are, the better chance BWood will get of having more minutes and the less Najera we will have to endure. Not that Najera is bad, but he doesn't need to be playing heavy minutes this game.

I'm not sure we have the tools to win this with one of our big men out. Najera and Dirk are going to have to play their asses off defensively. Maybe Jet or someone aside from Dirk can go off! if not...
106- 98 Lakers

We actually match up well with them - assuming Haywood doesn't get into foul trouble. They don't have a speedy guard to go past Kidd, we have 2 people that are more than competent at guarding Kobe, and we have a true center that can limit Bynum's easy buckets.
Mavs win 137 - 16 (Kobe goes 16-20 from the line).

Don't have a great feeling about this one. Only having one center is actually worse against a team like the Lakers than against Dwight Howard because the Lakers put constant offensive pressure on a post defender.
It is the second night of a back to back for the Lakers, but beyond that, I don't have a good feeling here.

It's obvious that Haywood helps battle against the big front-line of the Lakers but we're missing a very vital piece to the puzzle.
I'm highly interested to see what happens though. If we win, fantastic...if we lose, it's not the end of the world. We're missing a critical part and there's still time to learn from the game.

Is there any way we can arrange for Carroll & Kobe to threaten one another with guns in the arena before the game? That would take care of so many problems...

It is kind of funny that Stern would do it now. And yes, I do believe it is a way to "annoy" Cuban.
