Looks like we'll be seeing Feldman early on. Wonder if Holland will be out for another inning

Good to know MLB is continuing its trend of putting horrific home plate umps in charge of their postseason games. That ball to Moreland was a foot outside.

Martinez just put his foot in front of the ball. How is that not strike three?

Way to pick up your teammate, guys. 2-3-4 hitters go 123 in like 7 pitches.

Everybody tells that Detroit is a crappy city, but sports-wise, they are really really good.

God, this is making me nervous. Please don't let that popup, with no outs in the ninth, kill us!

Those Detroit guys hang on. If they manage to crush Texas, they will swallow Milwaukee for breakfast.

That was something.
7 more shutout innings from the bullpen, grandslam walk off...that's some notable stuff

Feldman was superb. He would have been MVP of this game IMO if it hadn't been Cruz who had delivered the GW RBI.

I was really worried that Cruz was overswinging in that situation. Maybe he was...but it certainly worked out!

who splashed his face with water as he crossed home plate? was that feldman?
i love the reactions from the rangers dugout as everyone looks up at the crack of the bat, they start leaning forward, and eventually come spilling out cheering.

I think it was Mark Lowe. He has been doing that a lot: doing crazy shit at the end of big wins. LOL
For instance, when the Rangers clinched the ALDS, and as the team was celebrating near the mound, Lowe took the rosin bag and hurled it into the middle of the mob. I think he hit Napoli in the face.
You can see it at around the :24 mark of this video: http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?co...y_19835957&v=3

Michael Young is a rally killer for us right now. He was so good in the regular season but can't get a hit to save his life in the playoffs. With Cabrera finally breaking through tonight, I'm hoping Young can do the same. But right now I think Ron Washington needs to at least consider moving him down in the lineup. We cannot have our cleanup hitter getting nothing every game.
Biggest turning point, IMO, of tonight's game was in the very first inning. Fister allowed three straight hits to start the game. Rangers led 1-0 with nobody out. Young comes up, hits into a DP, and that was that. Not only for that inning, but the rest of the game. Our offense never generated any momentum after that one play.

What was with all of the broken bats last night? Was it because Fister throws inside a lot? If that Pine tar prevents crap like that maybe the rangers should use iit.
anyone know if Beltre is okay? Really need him to be 100%

Yes, Fister dominated the inner half of the plate and thus the broken bats.
Beltre's x-rays were negative, but it'll still probably be sore for a while. He's too important to lose, though, and should at least be running a little better by today.
