Again, who the hell is our strength and conditioning coach? Wasn't Casey Smith let go or something? This is ridiculous.

Lol well fuck what's that starting lineup look like?
Exum, THJ, DJJ, Williams, Powell?
Hardy, Curry (maybe), Holmes (maybe), Morris, OMax off the bench? They'll need minutes from Lawson and Brown in this one, too.

Exum is out and Curry questionable though, right?
I think we?re starting Hardy and THJ with Brown and Lawson as our second string

A real coach would play Omax and constantly mentor him
This game was lost four hours ago when they did the injury report, but at least we could develop Omax

I said to start Omax at center btw.
But at least we finally know that Holmes is a million times better than Powell. Let's trade him to Houston who wanted him.

By we I mean the delusional FO/coach that thinks he is a positive in the locker room. After last game, there is no way you can justify continuing to play him.

We all agree that
Lawson & Dennis > Green & Hardy
Holmes >>> DP
Greg Brown prob > DP
Flaming bag of hammered dog shit > Kidd & Dp

I told Kidd and FO too but they said Cuban and DP watch movies and JO in the basement too much. DP will be a big part of the "FO" in 5 years.

We need to trade green, Hardy (pipe dream) DP for a back up big. Then start giving Omax and Holmes mins at the 4. We have a better version of both of them in Dennis and Lawson on the cheap cheap

Not sure why anyone would take our scraps for a big.

Anyone that shits on Luka..take a look at what he does with this steaming pile of shit team around him. Its exactly what he?s done his entire career here, turning chicken shit into chicken salad. This FO doesnt deserve Luka.

And what was the reason for signing Curry?
Oh yeah, for all the other things he provides when scoring 0 points in 18 mins when there are no other options on offense.

In fairness. His 3 key teamates are out. Kyrie, Exum and Lively improve this shitbox team by a LOT!
Luka is MVP

Right? For every Exum and DJJ we pick up. We also have a DP re-sign and a Curry. Ill take the good with the bad but damn lets stop with the "specialist" one trick ponies.

I've been skeptical of Hardy since the beginning.
I have just never been a fan of his basketball iq or defense. Mavs over value him.
I would hope they try to utilize williams, green, Hardy and THJ in some package trying to entice the blazers to trade grant or raptors siakam

I'll say it again exum is better than both guys. Williams has been a major disappointment but reality is he's never been a starting level player. He starts in Dallas because the talent level just isn't very good

Hardy isn't a good basketball player. It's time the mavs try use what ever trade value he has left and move him. The hawks would probably be hesitant now on both him and Green for Capela

It's too late for that. Mavs had the opportunity this summer to trade him while his value was high knowing that Irving was here and there would be no role for him. They are the makers of almost all of their own issues. You're actually forced to keep him now to try and up his value and moving Green's contract is difficult.
And the Capela deal was for the 10th pick as well. That was never going to happen.

Capela is a moot point now with Lively. Unless we are going to start both and go big like T Wolves, then stagger them like we do with Luka and Kyrie. Thats the only way I would bother with Capela. Lively doesnt need any minutes reduction.

Are you joking? Capela is exactly what we need.
Only this year and the next under contract
Could re-sign at a lower value after
Slowing down at almost 30
No expectations of PT and can mentor Lively
Right now we are starting Markieff f@#$king Morris
But yeah it's all moot. Atlanta was asking Green, Hardy, and the 10th pick (which became Lively, Holmes, and OMax).
I'm not sure you'd find anyone on DM.com who would trade Lively, Omax, Green, Hardy, and Holmes for Capela as perfect a fit as he'd be here.

We started Markief once. Lively is hurt.
Idc, Capela isnt big enough of an upgrade to bench Lively. Again, if we want to try twin towers then im all aboard, but I'm not moving DL to the bench for Capela...especially while we still dont have a legit starting 4.

Insane take. Our big rotation is trash. And youve seen what happens if Lively ever gets hurt.

Whats insane is thinking that we are good at the 4 with a rotation of DJJ and Grant/Morris and wanting to bench Lively to add Capela. Lets bench our 3rd best/most valuable player while using what little assets we have in the trade to do so. I'd hapily follow the T Wolves template and run both Capela and DL as starters but fk benching a rookie who is pretty much what we need r now. I have zero interest in the potential of stunting his growth.
IMO, a better use of assets would be to get a starting 4 who can rebound, defend and play some 5 when necessary.

Capela train has left IMO -- Mavs don't have enough of what Hawks want/need, especially with Green and Hardy taking steps backward. If Capela has become cheaper and could be obtained with a lesser package, I'd still be onboard with it, as long as Lively and his minutes/development continue as-is. Unsure if both could be played next to each other, but you have to upgrade the big rotation somehow. If a starting 4 cannot be had, we can't simply say no way to Capela.
What potential 4's would be available? I keep coming back to Isaiah Stewart since he provides some flexibility between the 4 and 5.
