and actually, our record may not reflect it in the slightest, but we are. You, on the other hand, are not close to understanding what talent level it actually takes to remain competitive in this league, nor do you understand the tiny variances that can cause a team that should have been quite good to be mediocre. I'm sorry for this mental deficiency that seems to plague you, sir.

You are delusional if you think we are closer now. No matter the tiny variances that you speak of.

I like how 70-80% of the threads eventually dissolve back into this discussion...

To be honest BG, there is hardly much discussions here about anything anymore.

And probably for that very reason. You can only beat a dead horse so much until it gets old and runs everyone off.

Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded.

What's worse, eating a crow or watching Crowder play ?

I guess at this point no one except maybe Cuban believes it was not a mistake to let Chandler go, so maybe we can quit discussing that.
Its kind of interesting watching games when it doesn't really matter if we lose, since this team is going nowhere. No playoff seedings to worry about. More interesting...The Lakers did what the Mavs were trying to do...they got one of the elite free agents to join their aging superstar, and they are having the same success we have. At least we have the excuse that we have no payroll and 2 2nd round rookies playing significant roles.

But that's not what I said.
Still we agree its time to move on.
I now root for the Knicks and Celtics because they have the most important former Mavs Champions. When they beat Miami, its almost as good as the MAvs doing it.
