Let's see what all you pussies will say when we finally win this. Then all of you idiots will be praising Avery. If you want to get on someone, how about Dirk and his soft scared play.

Wade is showing the Metroplex and the Mavs fans what a true Super Star is. A true Super Star is someone who doesn't miss a free throw when the game is on the line. A super Star is someone who doesn't let some spare named Haslem push him around. A true super star is supposed to hit his opened jump shots and 3's.

Wade didn't miss any of that stuff. You idiots are looking at the wrong person to blame. How about for once, you jump on the crispy clean Dirk Nowitzki who can do no wrong, and how about you get on his ass and tell him to grow some balls and take the freaking ball to the hole, and stop missing open shots. Wade is supposed to be suspect from outside, but he's out classing Dirk in every aspect of the game.

Wade goes thru 3 people and still manages to get to the hole tonight even though he didn't get fouled, he got there, and yet Dirk can't hit an open 3 or foul shot. So IMO, screw Dirk!!!

Our offense sucks.
Why not playing some orthodox offense.
We should stop utilizing Dampier and Diop for too many screens. Let them play at the post in offense and move the ball side to side, and made Howard, Stackhouse, Terry cut without the ball and when they are in good position pass the ball to them.
Stop the overdribbling and trying to drive in the paint after using a screen, it's way too predictable.

ES was asking for it. He's a spare anyways. That "play dumb" move is so lame and when questioned he acted as if he didn't know what basketball was. As Murphy said, the situation could have been ended immediately. Sure Avery somewhat overreacted with the stuttering comment, but anyone would be pissed in this situation and I think I remember Eddie pissing him off earlier in the year as well with one of those cheap questions.

No.

Avery's actions tonight were uncalled for. Any civilized person could see that. You treat others with respect. He didn't do that.

I'm making no claims that he's a bad coach or that he's costing us this series. I'm saying that, as a person, he sucked tonight.

Yea I agree. It was a goof up on AJ's part. I'm not accustom to seeing it from AJ which is why i'm not ragging on him too hard.

The only fault AJ has made is playing Harris too much and from there the rest of the team deserves the blame. In fact its not that the team deserves the blame ..BUT HAS ANY1 THOUGH ABOUT GIVING MIAMI SOME CREDIT....or are you guys too good for tht

Sigh. That's the second time tonight someone has brought race into a discussion where it was uncalled for. People are losing their minds tonight. I think if the Mavs don't win a championship this year I have a reason to fear for my life. Guys are really losing it.

So now some here are jumping on Avery after his comments tonite. Boo hoo....all of you. Maybe Avery is getting just a little sick of the NBA against the Mavs. Maybe he just said what he felt to the reporter. Avery was not out of line at all.

Avery has a hard-on for Eddie Sefko. That much is established.

Tonight he tried to undress him like he tried to undress him in the wake of Sefko's article about Johnson's "tirade" after the Orlando game.

In the first instance, Avery was trying to get one back, so to speak. That's okay.

But tonight, Avery was gutless. Sefko's question was nowhere near out of bounds. It's the exact question any of us would have asked in that same situation. And Avery's gutless ass refused to answer it.

.

I agree. If anything, Sefko was giving Avery a chance to voice his displeasure about the call, without him having to go on a tirade himself.

Now granted, Sefko probably wanted a juicy quote that would have drawn a fine, but Avery could have easily said what we all know he thought and still staid inside the bounds.

As a matter of fact, if Sefko had NOT asked that question, someone else would have. Would AJ answer the question then?

If this was all just an attempt to get back at Sefko...wow. That's just pathetic. One of my biggest problems with religion (And one of the reasons I've been very cynical about it the past 5 years) is how religious leaders don't practice what they preach. If AJ, as a minister, can't get past something like that and let it go...why even try?

Doubt it. We all know the NBA becomes super-sensitive after a game like this. Almost anything he said would be very likely subject to a fine. There is very little that is "in-bounds" in a situation like this.

I certainly wouldn't have asked such a trivial and useless question that I already know the answer to. You are saying you would? Sefko went in for what he thought was an easy dunk, and he got Stackhoused.

You know what though I have to be honest. I think AJ's true colors are finally coming out. You heard a couple of tidbits about AJ having fits all year long. I think last game was the final straw. He had a couple of comments on ESPN 1033 Friday that had me thinking the comments were very uncharacteristic for Avery. Very similiar to his comments tonight against Sefko. He used the same tone.

Since when are members of religious organizations perfect? AJ is about as classy as they come. If you are going to jump on a guy for one mistake, you certainly aren't going to find many people to look up to. Everyone has skeletons in their closet.

Since when does everyone give a shit about Eddie Sefko? You all are treating him like he's some saint who deserves to be protected, someone we should feel sorry for. He's just another member of the media in my book.

Avery wasn't originally trying to give Eddie a hard time, he was just looking for Eddie to come back with something like "I didn't see much contact on the play" or "It looked questionable at best" and Avery would have played on that. When Sefko refused to answer, that's when Avery chimed in with the "Don't stutter now" comment that has so many of you sending 'get well' cards to Sefko.

I guess the claim is Sefko has to 'maintain his journalistic integrity' but how hard is it to give your impression on a particular play? Is Sefko not allowed to offer any kind of opinion at all? Sefko should have played along. He chose not to. End of story.

Yes. But there were two roads. AJ chose the road that led to the humiliation of another person. In front of millions of people. I'm just saying that he shouldn't have done that.

How many "mean" coaches let their players' kids come sleep over? Everyone has bad moments under pressure. Avery is a fiery guy. He may let his emotions overcome him at times, but without his passion, most of you guys probably wouldn't have much use for Avery because he would be a lousy head coach.

You've never, EVER, humiliated another person? Sure you haven't done it in front of a million people, you probably haven't had the chance to do so.

Avery did a wrong tonight. It doesn't make him a bad person, and it especially isn't indicative of how Christians are bad, hypocritical people.

No i'm not saying he's mean or that he's a bad guy. But tonight i'm thinking is just the real AJ. I think for most of the season he's been holding his tongue. Actually he's said this on Friday on ESPN 1033. Not quoting him but he said something along the lines of he's usually quiet about the NBA but this is ridiculous. I'm noticing him to show more fire. Show a bit of a mean streak. All i'm saying is if we get another one of these "tantrums" from AJ don't be surprised. Let's hope we won't have to see another since that would mean we would be kicked out of the playoffs.

Oh, I don't think AJ's a bad person at ALL. I'm simply stating that he made a mistake tonight. Some people here can't differentiate from the two.

And the Christianity thing is a whole other issue that I don't care to get into.

Sick of the AJ hate on this board. AJ's been a class act since he's been here and you guys think "his true colors" are out now after a heartbreaking, frustrating loss? Gimme a freakin' break man.

Yes he is. A friend of mine has seen him preach at church services. And he also preached at MegaFest last year in Atlanta, which is a Christian conference and concert performances from celebrities in the Christian world. He also has a sermon for sale somewhere online.

As to his comments, it was funny. I don't think he was classless or is a jerk.

Fine. I'll give you a "maybe" so that we can all move on

Quick question though. As Mav fan to Mav fan.... who made a bigger mistake? Avery? or Bennett F***ing Salvatore?
