Ahhhhh... actually after my smart arse post I figured it had something to do with an empty net.

That would have been a sweet Turco goal.

I can't wait until Sunday.... the only thing that could make it better is if the Mavs actually cared about the Spurs game.

Methodical, relentless, gutsy win. From the net out, there is nothing to complain about. It's a whole new series. Come on home, boys. You've done good.

I'm worried about the Ice on Sunday.
They're going to have the absolute minimum of 2.5 hours to change from basketball to hockey.
I think the Mavs care some about the Spurs game. That is, the players do. It'll be interesting to see if Avery throws J.J. out there...but I'll find another thread for these thoughts
I'm going to have a victory beer now

I am so happy right now. And just really impressed by this team. Just think about what they did. This thing was a gut-check & a heart-check. They put in a 60-minute clinic.
The Lundqvist-Halpern-Barnes line (STILL no nickname) was sooooo good.

Beer is good.
I actually have a bottle of Guinness (from Jamaica) that makes the proclamation that "Beer is good for you". Obviously the truth in advertising rules of the states don't apply to Jamaica.
That thing is 11 years old now, never opened.
(how is this for a completely random post?)

I doubt that Guinness aged very well (it's not bottle-conditioned), but you never know. Not long ago they recovered some bottles of ale from a shipwreck over 100 years old, and they were eminently drinkable!
Have you stored it away from sunlight, at cellar temperatures?

I'm highly impressed, too. Certainly no hangover from the five-hour game. Instead, they took the attack to them from the get-go. And for all the talk on sports radio about Turco, he was more than up to the task tonight.
I love that Stu Barnes. He looks faster than everyone he's on the ice with.

Stu Barnes has the heart of a lion, and has his whole career. I'm happy for him that he gets a chance to play with a quality American in Jeff Halpern and make a difference out there.

I have no intention of ever drinking it. Only because when I bought it on our honeymoon my wife didn't think I should bring it home (which I wanted to because of the sticker that said beer was good for you). She was afraid it would become a permanent fixture, so I promised her that I would throw the bottle away after I drank it... It was 2 years before she figured out that I never intended on drinking it.

For the hardcore....for some reason Ribeiro and Miettinen had their minutes SEVERELY limited tonight. Not sure why, I thought Miettinen had a real nice game in game 1.
Ribeiro just wasn't being effective, they're looking for him out there.
Vancouver was missing 2 of their best PK forward tonight, both of which will be back next game so... glad we took advantage.
Now, back to beer talk

I'm ashamed to have ignored the regular season--well, not really...there's only so much sports you can watch, and with the Mavs and Cowboys I have my fill--but upon watching these guys for the first time, I was actually kinda impressed with Ribeiro. (And a little disappointed in Lehtinen, based on my prior knowledge of him.) He seems fast, too.
Back to beer talk...Matt, are you sure about 50 proof? That is stretching the limits. Then again, anyone can experiment with anything on a small scale. I doubt too many people will take to it, though. The high-gravity stuff available these days (I'd say 16% by volume, tops) only has a niche following. If someone is going to push it to 25, it's probably not going to be Sam Adams.

If you're talking about my signature...that's about 5 layers in photoshop and about a half hour of tweaking.
If you're talking about that picture I just posted...looks like just a photo to me.
