Right.
Meanwhile (off topic), if Terry could just drive left like he did in the 4th quarter last night, he'd be a MUCH more effective player. I can't count how many times I've seen him set up a play on the left side and then try to dribble back out with the right hand while the defender overplays that hand, virtually BEGGING him to drive left.

I agree kg...Jason's game frustrates me no end. He DOES have very nifty moves around the key, hes' got a teardrop and a jumphook that little nicky would appreciate and he jacks up 3pointers all of the time.
He's quite good at breaking guys down off the dribble and he's pretty strong offensively. Just think what type of a weapon he'd be if his inclination was to get a 12 footer instead of a 3, when he does that he is really tough for anyone to guard. He's got easy range and he just backs up until he's open.

As for your contention, I'm not sure I agree. Other guards are able to attack the lane continuously without all of the injuries that Harris seems to sustain.

Other guards aren't as fast and reckless as Harris. About the only guy who throws his body around like Harris does is (our favorite) Mr. Wade. And he's been injured alot, even if you take out the shoulder thing.

Noooo kidding.....and Terry has the ability to be a complete player. He Frankly just gets lazy and lacks effort too many times. He can drive, and he can play very solid defense. Will he choose to tonight versus Memphis? Lets hope so.

When you realize Devin's knocked to the floor almost every time he scores, this is a little expected.
Whatever. Hopefully JJ is remembered as the man who blew out the Celtics.

I see no reason why he can't go left. He has the ability to dribble with that hand, but I've seen probably 100 times this season (and countless times before that) when he dribbled away from the basket to his right and into an overplaying defender rather than go left where the defense was trying to funnel him. If you want to know what pushes the Mavs late in the shot clock as much as anything, it's Terry refusing to go left. Opposing teams have his tendencies pegged, and he needs to adjust.

Back to dev's injury a little bit. Out 2-3 weeks reads to me like they expect him back on the court in 2-3 weeks, right? Not being to rehab in 2-3 weeks.

I disagree. The Mavs aren't nearly as weak as you make them out to be.

That's the way it sounded to me, and I'd expect it to be sooner rather than later.

Have you EVER voted 'under' in the HoH when it concerns an opponent's numbers?

At least we got good depth on our team. Still we need Devin Harris to have a chance for a championship.

Way to stop down this thread, Wraith.
Anyway:
Quote:
A few days ago, Devin Harris got rid of the protective boot he'd been wearing since suffering a bone bruise on his left ankle. He wore a practice uniform and a big smile during today's shootaround, when he walked without a limp but didn't participate in any drills.
"I was happy to see him," Avery said. "I even gave him a big hug. Can you believe that?"
Harris said his ankle is still sore when he puts pressure on it, but he hopes to work out on the court in a couple days. He said he was on the "Avery Johnson plan" when asked when he'd return to the lineup.
Harris has filled his time by screaming at the TV while watching the Mavs play, watching film, working out in the weight room and running on the team's underwater treadmill. Oh, and he's been following the trade rumors, especially the one that had him heading to Portland and Jason Kidd taking his place in Dallas.
Did anybody from the Mavs call him when those rumors were hot? Nope.
"Just like everybody else," Harris said, "I'm just a spectator in all the madness."

Lol, thanks for the update, Flaco. Wraith needs to work that magic in some of the other threads and keep threads like this one alive.
