This is frustrating, gonna let them get a field goal to end the half.
At least Cowboys would only be down three.

Seriously Bayliss, Romo has 11.4 Yards per attempt so far. Do you realize how ridiculous you sound right now?
|
How does that make my argument look silly? One pass to Roy Williams was behind the line of scrimmage in which he got 19. The other pass play was the only one above 5 yards.
YPA is a poor indicator of how deep the throws actually were. YAC plays a huge role in it.....

Well as ugly as that half was, we didn't panic and kept the game close. I'll be happy with a win in this one even if it is ugly. Hope the Cowboys can make the adjustments and stay patient enough to pull this one out.

Yards per attempt is probably the best quarterback metric out there. If a play is getting good YAC, that probably means that the play is a pretty good one. Again Bayliss, you are acting clueless here.
Like all stats, it's not perfect but it's still pretty darn good.

And seriously Bayliss, do you think Green Bay is letting Miles Austin roam wide open? He's burned them in our past two games against them, and he's the hottest receiver in the NFL right now. I'm pretty sure Green Bay is rolling their coverage towards him. If the o-line can't give Romo and the receivers enough time to make a play, Miles isn't going to be too involved today. Especially when you consider Green Bay has some pretty good cornerbacks in the first place.

And Romo has a QB rating of 99.6... doesn't mean he has played well. The stat itself is not telling what is going on in the game. And I think you know that.
Romo has passed exactly twice over 5 yards today. One time Roy Williams caught it for 30+ yards. The other play was broken up to Miles Austin.
Everything else has been 5 yards and under. Your stat doesn't disprove what I said at all.

The biggest complaint you can have about garrett and romo at this point is that we aren't having the wide receivers running more short routes to adjust to this pressure. Although I can't see what routes the receivers are running, it doesn't seem like we have guys running short routes, either that or Romo is missing them.

Did I say it had to be **just ** Miles Austin? Heck no. Throw it to several guys.

And I thought the Cowboys had a good tight end they might could use in the middle of the field, no?

Well Roy has 60 yards so far. The only reason I even brought that up was you posting about 50 times that we needed to get the ball to Miles.

Yeah and Romo is hitting them, hence his 9.4 yards per attempt.

We're trying here, doesn't help when your quarterback has little time to pick apart the defense.

I can't tell why they aren't going to Witten.

Well nevermind, we are going to lose this challenge. I wonder if we can go back and take the holding call?

At least Barbie atoned on that last play. Helping out on the sack while drawing a holding penalty. Nice play.

This offense is frustrating as hell. Shot ourselves in the foot on two consecutive plays.

This is some bogus reffing. Refs completely botched that call.

I really don't get how that play wasn't reviewable. Whatever explanation the ref gave sounded completely made up.
