This will be a hard fought game, hopefully our D is solid, and hopefully KG is actually whistled for a foul tonight.

The worst thing KG gets away with, even worse than his moving screens, is how he will literally HOLD his opponent. He puts both arms on the defender, blatantly, and is never whistled for it.

didn't he win a defensive player of the year award? Amazing what they let him get away with, it's a players, star players league, Mailman's kick, same with Miller and the ultimate, D-Wade.

It's simply amazing what Garnett is allowed to get away with. The thing is, the team can't dwell on that. We have to find a way to win.

That's why he can get away with that garbage against young teams. Us, a veteran team, who's been through everything, it doesn't faze us.

The Heat announcers are great. They are always prepared, objective, and call a great game. I will say that after watching LP for over 5 years now and having to watch a bunch of other team's broadcast that Followill is by far the best prepared pbp guy in the nba biz.
Then there's Bob. "He can do that. He can literally do that."

That is true, in all fairness, Miami announcers aren't bad. To me, San Antonio's announcers are the worst. Elliot Smith is the pits. Portland, I can't say I remember them. And I can't remember the Celtics' announcers either. Is the Utah announcer the one that does a simulcast for both TV and Radio? I know he's doing his job but he's annoying, describing every single thing that goes on TV.
The Mavs are privileged when it comes to PBP. Mark is great, has a good, non-annoying voice, Bob is Bob, very insightful, and Skin makes them funny. I really liked Hubbie Brown actually til he proved to be a major Dallas hater this year. I simply don't know what's going on with him, maybe he's going senile.

I know, it's hard to imagine, but Heinsohn is the epitome of a homer.
Edit: But as Kante wrote, we don't have to listen to him tonight.

Maybe I mixed them up with some others. But I know for sure that I can't stand the ones from SA, Portland, NO or OKC. And Heinsohn, of course. But as Kante wrote, it's gonna be on ESPN (thank God).

Thunder announcer climbed up the later fast. Its incredible how much blatant BS (and homerism) they deliver every game...

SA is definitely the worst. I bet even people in SA hate them...they're that bad. I totally forgot who it was, but there was one game this year where the opponent announcers were just comically unprepared...and they weren't even embarrassed by it. They had no idea what players were averaging...their tendencies...their performance the last 5 games...nothing. We should all be thankful for Mark and BobO.

So, who guards Allen at the start? I don´t want to see Kidd running behind Allen all the time. Or play zone from the beginning?

Wow... at nba.com the boxscore still names Stevenson at the 2 and Cardinal at the 3.
Edit: Now it has been changed.

* Kendrick Perkins will earn his first start of the season at center tonight, as Shaquille O’Neal will sit out with a sore achilles. Head coach Doc Rivers said O’Neal is also doubtful for Sunday’s afternoon showdown with the Orlando Magic. Perkins inclusion in the starting lineup may become a permanent switch beginning tonight, according to Rivers. “I wanted to wait a little bit obviously, we planned to do it after the All-Star Game, but it is what it is.”
* Ray Allen confirmed to reporters before the game he has been invited last month to participate in the NBA Three-Point Shootout Competition during the All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles. Teammate and defending shootout champion Paul Pierce playfully challenged Allen to face him earlier this week in the competition.
* Tonight’s contest is the second game in the midst of difficult road trip for the Dallas Mavericks. Despite his team winning six straight games, head coach Rick Carlisle is not satisfied with his team’s recent play. “We have to keep working on our defensive rebounding and efficiency on the offensive end. We’re going to be in an integration process next week with bringing some guys into the lineup, so it will be a challenge.”

Why is Boston allowed to make moving screens and every other team is not?

Boston is so easy to be disliked. Almost the entire team is a bunch of wannabe thugs. Garnett, Pierce, Rondo, Perkins to name a few...
