I can hook you up.
The reason Peja isn't playing tonight is because he totally freaked out when he learned from Charlie Sheen that the Gray Aliens (who live on the dark side of the moon) conspired with GW Bush to cause 9/11 - Cubes is keeping him in safe hiding until the Bilderberg Group can get this whole mess smoothed over.
I hope that clears things up for you...

LOL and +rep.
I'd actually like us to throw Brewer into the lineup to see what he can do. If it didn't work out, we could still go with Marion as a starter down the road.
As far as Peja is concerned, I hope it's just a minor setback instead of an indicator of things to come. I'm not thrilled about him being a starter, but he could still be a nice player to have on a good night when his shot is falling.
Oh, CP3 and maybe even Ariza out for tonight? Mavs by 4 in a nail-biter.

Peja is best-suited in a Horry-type role on this team, IMO. Keep him active, keep him on the bench, and bring him in during a tight playoff game to hit an open three or two late. This whole starting him and playing him 20 minutes thing just seems wrong given the talent on this roster (and the current defensive problems).

Seems like consensus is Brewer at the starting 3, Rick.

Brewer should be the starter and designated defensive ace from tipoff. Peja should come in for offense with JET/Marion/Wood.

There should be a system in place that allows decisions like this to be made by d-m fan vote.

I'm pretty sure the starting lineup would be:
Roddy
Roddy
Brewer
Brewer
Chandler

Nice set-up by Rob Mahoney....the Roddy-oop is getting snuffed out, but the secondary option is hella good.

Rickster today http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/maver...a-contributor:
"I like a lot of things (about Brewer). His defensive energy, he's a great runner on offense and he's a young player that's going to get better. He's only tapped into 50 or 60 percent of what he can be as a total player."
"(Brewer's) getting it. He's a smart kid. He played for a great coach in college and won two championships. He's picked up things very quickly."

Mavs down by 16 against the Hornets without Paul and Ariza
Terry is shooting 3-11 with 4 TO
Belinelli scoring 25
Terry hitting one late shot helping to win with two points
Everyone fighting if Terry is great or not

Maybe this can set things up for a more constant rotation. I'd like to see Brewer starting anyway and considering that Carlisle most likely won't start Marion I can only hope that Brewer will get the call over Stevenson.

Nah, he's worried that a guy in his fantasy football league named Hella Goode is going to stomp him next season!
(if this joke was anymore "inside" we'd need a surgeon to remove it...)

I'd love to see Brewer start to set a more defensive tone early in the game...

terry is going to shoot over 50 %, Brewer shoot 2-7 but plays good defense, Chandler with 10 and 12, JJB struggles again, Roddy plays well but not great in 15 minutes.

Haha, that GM is on vacation. He was asked to participate in Lockout meetings but he didn't want any part of that. I've got Bart Scott cued up for the season though.
