I have a good feeling about what's about to transpire in the next few weeks/months for our Mavericks. They seem to be flying perfectly under the radar. Other than Caron being out, I can't really imagine a better set of circumstances heading into the tournament. Sure, they don't have the easiest path to a championship, but I don't think a team capable of winning the championship needs the easiest path.
This team is angry. Angry about the lack of post season success. Angry about the lack of respect. Angry about being overlooked and dismissed as a serious contender. This team needs to get some positive momentum going in this series. If they do that, I think our guys just might catch fire and romp through the West.
Mavs win. 110-96

Three stats to keep track of:
Rebounds
Turnovers
FT attempts
Mavs need to win 2/3
Mavs 101
Blazers 89

3p shooting will be one key. The Blazers arent the best team in defending it.
If Kidd/Terry/Stevenson cant punish it we gonna suck. Kidd/Stevenson/Marion anyway just really works if Kidd/Stevenson hitting the open 3s

First off, the Big Three in itself was way, way good enough at the time to absolutely carry a team. Second, Van Exel and Bradley and Griffin and even Najera were terrific role players. That was one hell of a team.

That'd be nice, but my money says it means more minutes for JET.
Except that JET's minutes were probably predetermined with or without Roddy.
Should be interesting to see.
JUST START THE GAME ALREADY!

It's funny how anytime I think of the Blazers I get pissed. I feel like they think this is gunna be an easy series for them. I'm angry that teams think they can use the Mavs as some sort of stepping stone. And I'm sure our guys feel the same way. The Blazers don't know what they're getting themselves into.
