Hottest team in the league and top 2 in the West. We weren't supposed to win but really sad we lost it.

Wouldn't be in this position if they would have made ft's in the 3rd.

I thought the Mavs lost a lot of momentum as soon as Salah subbed out in the 3rd. Not sure why Rick wouldn't go back to the rebounding and shot blocking force that is Mejri.

Well like every game these days. I'm happy and sad at the end and looking for a drink.

RC has a huge knee jerk reaction to things he doesn't like with players he doesn't trust(anyone who isn't a seasoned NBA vet rly...) IMO. Salah made a foul in the back court and boom he was out instantly. Bogut made stupid plays like that when he was healthy and never got yanked unless it was his time or foul trouble. He does the same with Yogi, Simba, and Curry when they would leave their feet and get stuck in the air resulting in TO's but Dwill can air walk with the best of them with no repercussions. Go figure

So we're not tanking, but we do kinda suck... Glad we've cleared that up.

Celtics are also really freaking good. I see this more as "we hung with a top 4-5 team" than "this is evidence that we need to make a more concerted effort to tank".

This is so dead on, and he has always been this way. I actually think it could really hurt a player like Yogi if he isn't careful. If Deron and Barea get healthy and this kid gets benched, then I'm going to have a tough time following this team the rest of the way.

I noticed that too.
Mejri had a huge impact on the game but Rick pulled him when the score was 83-82 after the Mavs made a nice run with Mejri being a big part of that run.
I don't recall seeing Mejri after that.
We have got to trade Bogut for a center that has similar skills as Mejri.....need to have that type of center on the floor for 48 mins.

I kinda wonder how good we'd be if Bogut gave a shit this season.

Personally I think Dirk/Mejri and Barnes/Bogut paired at the 4/5 would work out well for this team but it would pose a problem at least at the start and close of games.
Bogut probably realizes he and Dirk are not a well fitting pair but knows this is Dirk's team which probably leads to his lack of enthusiasm.
Just my take on it.
For once I'd like to see how a Yogi/Matthews/Barnes/Dirk/Mejri starting lineup would do....seems like a lot of O and D in that lineup.
