DSJ missed it, but I like that they were looking for him to get a quick bucket to set up a 2-for.

@espn_macmahon: Rick Carlisle on Nerlens Noel's DNP-CD: "Minutes are earned." He said Salah Mejri earned minutes and Cavs are tough matchup for centers.

Really? I love the job Rick is doing with our fives -- at this rate, we'll have one of the best centers in the league in DeAndre Ayton.
Noel is done. Keep your eye on the prize. Like Rick.

I'm out on Noel personally. Only reason I want him to play is I can't stand Powell. But I want the majority of mins to be given to Salah at this point. We could prolly get more for Salah in a trade honestly than Noel anyway.

Between the last two games, DSJ has averaged: 21.5 points, 7.5 assists, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 1 block, and only 1.5 turnovers in 31 minutes per game.
Moar plz!

Yeah, we coulda won the game if Smith had played even 5 more minutes, so you can tell the tank is still full on.
And you gotta get rid of Noel at this point. Minutes aren't earned. Minutes go to who coach likes. Honestly, I don't agree with what Rick is doing with Noel, but you have to end it soon either way.

I'm all for ending this Noel situation too. I'd do it for a second round pick.

Im still not out on him. I still believe he can a good starter in this league. 12/10/2 stats etc. Yes, he gambles too much but thats fixable...
Its all about collecting talent. Then we draft and the BPA on our board is Porter or Doncic and then you got into FA and it just looks better if you have allready 4 young pieces than 3.
Again, the Mavs liked him. 12 games ago they liked him 70 million strong. And now this horseshit with his minutes. Again, Salah playing his ass off, i have no problem with him getting minutes over Noel.
But Powell is garbage. Everyone knows it, everyone sees it. Cant defend, cant rebound, his new "Stretch-5" outside shooting is garbage (dropped back to 26%)...fake hustle all over the place. I have a huge issue with Powell getting minutes over Noel JUST because he is the nicer guy or is earlier in the gym. Hard work will never change his lack of talent. Dude is also 26 (!) years old.
Im pretty sure when Dwight is still here collecting 10m+ from the bench, Noel is somewhere an above average starter

@bobbykarallaL Dennis Smith Jr. is the first Mavs rookie with back-to-back 20-point games since Roddy Beaubois in 2010.

This. Wtf is rick doing.. again..and still.
Dirk is a mismatch defensively vs 97.89% of all NBA players. Concrete shoes out there, While Salah sits on his fire and Noel doesn't play.
Enough with Powell. Period. Regardless.

Rick is steady losing my trust tho because of his rotations. By the end of the season, how could we feel that he would get the most out of a lineup anymore when he is forcing out garbage rotations. We could gget a top center and sizeable guard for a change and he still roll our 4 guard lineup

It's definitely up for debate, but I have hard time believing the Mavs accidentally lost this game by trying. I called a 5 point loss and wasn't far off.

I'm not questioning your ability on predictions. I just think there are far too many contradictions for a tank.
I think they lost it by Ricks rotations. Especially no Salah, having Dirk in to be super exposed on crossmatches, and Barnes had a couuple brain farts on 3s late. Obviously Powell
