I mean, just adding size to the starting lineup was a no-brainer that people have been complaining about for a while.
His biggest accomplishment has been turning Powell from a dumpster fire into an NBA player. That is basically miraculous as far as I'm concerned. It kinda sucks though because I think he could have done the same with NN had Noel put in the effort.

Thats just it. He may have been able to do the same with Noel, maybe even better. We'll never know. One of my biggest gripes with Rick is his one size fits all approach. I understand it, in theory. But everyone responds differently to negativity or criticism or encouragement. One of the important pieces for Powell has been some modicum of consistency with his role and minutes. Any player will be better with a defined role as part of a rotation playing with guys who have built a rapport.
Not discounting what you're saying. It may be that RC has alot to do with the accomplishment of Powell. But Powell looked really good for a long stretch two years ago. And then lost confidence. And has been yo-yo'd around alot since. He has grown some in skill and smarts but isn't exponentially a different player then the one we were all excited about two years ago. He's pretty much the same guy just the game has slowed down some and he has a defined role in which he's comfortable and he's not being asked to do more than he's capable of.

After reading the article UD posted in the NN thread I'm positive that even if he's not the best worker he would have likely still had a role if he just stopped gambling on defense.

@MarcJSpearsESPN: Warriors say Draymond Green (right shoulder soreness), Zaza Pachulia (left shoulder soreness) and Nick Young (concussion) are doubtful against Dallas on Thursday.
