Eddie looks pretty good. Nice steal-that-wasn't. Too bad nothing's happening much on O. This is all very very depressing.

The only good new is we're ONLY down by 13. After the way we played, it seemed as if we should be down by at least 60.

Only 11 points in the 1st! This is not good.

But this is where they just need to clamp down on defense. The offense **will come**. We aren't going to shoot 20% the rest of the game. But we can't allow them to shot 53%.

Not that Fin is shooting well, but he really HURTS his fg% when he heaves those half court shots at the buzzer.

Finley (12) 1-8, 0-2, 2pts, 6rbs, 1to

Dirk (12) 2-8, 1-2, 5pts, 2rbs

Nash (9) 2-6, 0-2, 4pts, 2rbs, 2as, 2to

Bradley (6) 3rbs

Raef (6) 0-2, 3rbs, 1to

NVE (3) 0-1

What's with the blind refs. Will we every get a crew that will call a fair game for the Mavs?

Climbing back... and we are really rebounding. Dirk and Bradley this quarter are doing a helluva job.

Are we really missing all these layups?

With all the misses, I can't believe we're only down 9 points.

I sense a change in Nellie's philosophy. He is going with defense in place of offense right now, and its working.

Slow & painful climb back into the game. Am really really impressed by Grif tonight. Dirk is finally warming up a bit.

Not a good sign. Dirk goes to the bench and the offense goes to pot. We sucking for points right now.

Love that Van Exel and Finley are in together, considering how strong they are defensively/rebounding and how incredibly they've been shooting of late.

Why did we go to Finley on that last play before the half? Sorry, but his shot looks horrible and this is borne out by the fact that he's 1-12. ONE FOR TWELVE! Why not give it to anyone-- I mean anyone, even NVE-- else?

This game it's our rebounding and defense that's keeping anywhere close. Offensively we could make the Miami Heat look good tonight.

If we don't start shooting the ball better soon this game is going to be over before the 4th quarter arrives.

Griff needs to play the entire 2nd half. Also, I think Najera hurt knee has taken his lift away. He can't even make a layup anymore.

Obviously, Finley, Najera and NVE should sit the whole 2nd half, we're not going to win with them playing tonight.

I'd like to say that they're going to get tired, but it's not looking it. KG is 9-10. 9-10!

Fin is 1-12, NVE is 0-6, & there have been NO MADE FGs from the bench. Either offense wakes up, or we lose badly b/c it's not like the D is that great. They're shooting 52%. (We're still wallowing at 25.)

Dirk's having an off, for him, shooting night and he still has almost 50% of our points. No way we'll win if that trend keeps up. Dirk has to get help scoring.
